a layout

this is just a layout i did of my sweetieboy :)
i used my cricut and indie art cartridge for the hearts. the scrolled one really is an overlay for the blackout cut but i really liked this effect..as if my heart ( the scrolled one) is embracing his.. ya know sappy symbolism type stuff :) the heart paper is memorybox the b/g paper is creative imaginations that my sweet daughter gifted me for easter :) she knows what her mother likes!:) i used a sizzex die for the corners and lots of tearing ,scrunching and colorbox dark brown fluid chalk pad ink :) i computer generated the wording except fo rlove and with a passion which were rub~ons that matched the paper. thanks for hanging out here for a bit :) hope you come back soon :) shelly

for my card i used my cricut and stretch your imagination (bird,music notes) and jasmine (corners) cartridges. the saying is from a stamp i found in the dollar bin.

Happy Monday!!!! and woo hoo its BittenByTheBug challenge time. AND this week we're having a BLOGHOP with candy! How cool is this! Read to the end of this post for details :)
This week we were to use any cut from the ever cute doodlecharms cartridge but had to use the border feature. i chose to do a layout of my daughter when she was just a little lady .. i love ladybugs so thought the ladybug border feature would be perfect for this :) the awesome paper is from the sugardrop collection from memorybox.

PaperBlooms be inspired challenge

yay!!! its wednesday which means its a New PaperBlooms Challenge Day. this week Leah challenged us to be inspired by her dishes.. oh my goodness hop on over and see her everyday dishes.. im inspired to run to her house and nab them up!! lol.. they are BEAUTIFUL! be sure to head on over and see how tina, ann, cassie and jacque were inspired! its such a pleasure working with these talented ladies. and leahs just the best! also be sure to join in on our challenges.the more the merrier :) you dont have to own any of leahs beautiful crocheted floweres to particiate altho once you see them you are going to want them for sure!
for my take i made a paper cup ( i found the template on splitcoaststampers) , i added a few cookies in a little bag and attached a cute little friendship tag. i also used a pre-made martha stewart gift bag from a set that was gifted to me by my future mother in law ( can ya tell she likes me..scrapstuff for easter..gotta love this lady lol) .. inside i added some yummy flavored teabags on the outside i decorated using my cricut and home accents cartridge. i added a few of leahs beautful crocheted blooms and martha stewart punch butterflies. thanks for spending a bit of time here and hope to see you over at paperblooms!

for my take i used my cricut and george (flowers) and opposites ( wording) cartridges. i also used my cuttlebug for the pretty butterfly. i added pearls and i realized i forgot to add a little ribbon or fiber as the sketch indicates.. oh forgetful me :) thanks for stopping by today! shelly

for my take i made a card, using my cricut which i love! and my Joys of the Season (mug) and Home Accents (flourish) and beyond birthdays (you warm my heart) cartridges. i also used Martha Stewart doily lace bunch for the border and corners and MS punch for the butterflies . paper is prima.

another sketch for 2sketches this cute sketch is by ewonne ek. be sure to check out the beautiful sample card she made, then check out her blog ( a link from 2sketches site) oh man she does beautiful work! for my take i used my crict and storybook (scallop) and jasmine (corners) cartridges.paper is basic grey . ewonnes sketch didnt include corners, but i have a hard time NOT putting them or a corner flourish on a card, i think they add so much. thats just my humble opinion and what do i know right :)

PaperBlooms happy earth day!!!!

happy happy earth day! this week over at PAPERBLOOMS we went green on ya! the challenge is to alter/ recycle something we'd otherwise throw away. i altered a diced tomato can ( you can also use a small veggie can for this project but i like the larger size). ( diretions can be found on splitcoaststampers, altered poptop can) inside this i added a couple packets of flower seeds and some plant nutrients.
i think it makes a nifty gift . i added a beautiful bloom made by leah . you can purchase these at her etsy shop you wont be disappointed they're perfect!
for this project i used my cricut and walk in my garden cartridge for the spade. i used george cartridge for the circle on the lid of the can. added a few buttons there and i added a bee, ladybug and a couple of dragonfly buttons elsewhere on the can. i also used MS punch for butterflies and ek success punch for top and bottom rim of the can. the pretty paper is dcwv garden party. thanks so much for looking and hope you recycled a little today :) hugs! shelly

this week over at BBTB regina had us use the inchbag from our tagsbagsboxes and more cartridge. we ALSO used some vintage printables .. be sure to get on over to BBTB and see how you can win a CD of vintage printables from the awesome peggylovesvintage. these are so fun and easy to download and work with. fun fun!! also be sure to see the AMAZING creations the rest of the DT came up with.. stunning stuff!! i think they did an awesome job showcasing peggys images.
so.. heres my take i printed then cut out th eimage, then printed again cutting out certain portions and adhering over the original cut with popdots for some dimension. ....thanks so much for looking and leaving comments when you do :) xxxx's shelly

happy monday :) hoping your weeks off to a good start. this card is based on this weeks sketch over at SS be sure to pop on over and see this weeks prize, try the sketch out yourself AND see the DT cards.
for mine i used my cricut and george (circle) and WildCard (roses, which cut in cream cardstock and used colorbox chalk/inkpad for color) and berry branches) cartridges. i ran a strip of paper through my cuttlebug. added robins nest dew drops a martha stewart butterfly punch, added kaiserkraft pearls and handstitched. paper is prima. thanks so much for stopping by to look and extra special thanks if youre leaving a comment i always love to read what you have to say :) xx's shelly
