Happy Monday! better yet Happy Blog Hoppin day!
this week over at Bitten By The Bug our fabulous team leader had us use the jumbled word freedom from our cricut and graphically speaking cartridge. what i did was alter a few cylinder containers..trying to make it look like a firecracker centerpiece..what do ya think of it?
besides the freedom cut i also used stars from wild card and george cartridges. i computer generated some text, added some shiny gift wrap that i cut a rectangle from, cut it into strips a little more than half way down the rectangle, then bunched it all up together and adhered it to the top of the cylinder. the paper i used is pathways creative papers /americana.
now.... onto the blog hop! woo hooo!!!!!! for my giveaway i purchased a few items from reginas awesome cuttin cafe store for ya. im offering 3 very fun sets of printables .. click on the links to all 3 so you can see what youre going to be getting ..prepare to be amazed at reginas designs!

second: 4 new background printables, ewe, ladybug pie and heart

CardPatterns # 20

happy wednesday again :) this is for this weeks sketch by kristin swain over at CP
ALL the Dt sample cards are just awesome so be sure to go check them all out. i was very much inspired by a card by their guest designer anja..mine not as pretty but its for a kid and i know more than likely it will get ripped apart so i didnt want to "go all out" and work on all the layering and cuts with my cricut. i did use it with the zoobaloo cartridge. for happy birthday the embellies and paper are k@co. thanks for stopping by to look :) shelly

PaperBlooms

Well. today is the last day of the current paperblooms design team. i have been so fortunate to have worked along side ann jacque tina and cassie. they are just the sweetest caring ladies and so bursting with talent. each week i was amazed at their work. i will miss them on PB.
on a bright note.. i was asked if id like to stay on with the new DT and of course i said YES!!! how lucky am i! i just adore leah , a living angel, and so love her crocheted embellies.
there are 2 new ladies, rose miller and christi bryant. i now roses' work quite well and have been fortunate to have her as a friend. christie is new to me, after checking out her blog i KNOW why leah chose her... be sure to check out both of these ladies fantastic work!
also be sure to come play along with us. we are now a bi~weekly challenge. that gives you more time to create AND each month we're having guest design spots.. so you could be our featured player! woo hoo!!!! how fun would that be!
this week our project was just make anything that inspires us. well as you can tell by most of my cards i have this pathetic sappy sappy side to me ( i keep my evil twin locked inside most of the time ;) ) so love, caring and warmness inspire me. i have received all of that a hundred times over in my life so my project reflects that feeling. plus.... a couple of pics of my handsome sweetieboy were right in front of me as i was creating so hearts and that girlie looooooong sigh was on my mind ( do ya still get that feeling over your partner? over 4 years and i still do every single time i look at him.. yep even when id like to kick him that love shines through lol )
so what i did to make this... i found some twig stuff at a craft store and shaped it into a heart...i have bought some of these hearts pre~made before but always like to recreate those finds.. yay me i did it!
i added these sweet blooms leah crocheted, added a couple of buttons, some pins, lace ribbon ( i love this stuff!!) a cuttlebug butterfly that i cut using mulberry paper. i also used my cricut and opposites attract cartridge for the word love..
i hope you have a great day and dont forget to hop on over to paperblooms and give a sweet farewell to the ladies. hugs shelly

(i picked the cart up at jujubees scrapbooking for 22 bucks.. i think she still has it plus a few others for that price.. great service from her.)
the paper i used is crate paper. i dont remember where i saw the sentiment.. somewhere in blogland. so thank you to whoever posted a card with this sentiment on their blog :) thank you so much for stopping by here :) have a great rest of day :) shelly
