Crafty Creations Challenges
happy wednesday :) this is my week to host again at CCC , (thank you claire for all your help) and the lovely regina easter from the cutting cafe has graciously and generously agreed to sponsor us! WOO HOO! she has some of the best digi printibles so be sure to go check out the cafe. the winner for this week will any recevie 3 sets of your choice from the cutting cafe.. i told ya regina was generous!! thank you sooooooo much regina :) you are truly one special lady. for our design team regina sent us a set called bulbs for the tree to play with.. be sure to see what the other DT ladies have created with this set.
i also set the challenge using the cracked glass technique. i used utee (ultra thick embossing enamel) for mine but i believe theres other products you can use instead. sorry not sure as utee is what i learned on, so this is what i have an abundance of.
so i made 2 cards.. one showcasing a bulb and sentiment from the cutting cafe, the other showcasing a stamping up stamp using the cracked glass effect and a sentiment from bulbs for the tree set.
i also used my cricut and jasmine and george cartridges ( corners and squares and rectangles)
my extras include tiny SU stamps, lace, ribbon , pearls, stickles, acrylic paint, colorbox fluid chalk and stampin up close to cocoa inkpad. paper is webster pages ( tree card) and basic grey ( bulb card)
hope you have a great rest of day and a wonderful safe happy thanksgiving :) thank you so very much for stopping by my blog. shelly

crafty creations challenges
happy wednesday ) this week over at CCC the lovely claire has chosen our theme of metal or metal look using one of her oh so cute digi images. she's also sponsoring our challenge this week so be sure to play along.
for my image i chose "tree and stars" from her shop isnt this a sweet tree!
along with her fab image i used my cricut and george cartridge . i cut stars and adhered over her digi image stars. i first took some craft wire ( metal) and wrapped it around the tree then adhered the stars to it. i added some stickles for sparkle. i also used some metal clips for a fun look. i wanted to keep it a whimsy look so i colored the presents kind of messy on purpose..does it look silly? i hope not.
thanks for stopping by today hope you enjoyed and come back often :) xx shelly

being inspired by....
sarah hodgkinson...i always liked coredinations papers but oh man she just has me LOVING them with my cuttlebug! be sure to check out her awesome work using coredinations papers. my card is based on this particular book she made ( its the 6th post from the top on her blog)
for mine i used papers from chocolate box
i used my cricut and doodlecharms for the hearts which i then ran through various cuttlebug folders. then sanded them to show the color undearneath. i popped a couple of them up for dimension. pretty huh! i also used wildcard cartridge for the wording which i tweaked in design studio to get the right fit. and added jasmine corners using memory box paper.
i added a little bit of colorbox fluid chalk and thats it. easy easy but i think it turned out really lovely.
thanks so much for stopping by and more thanks if youre leaving a comment :) dont forget to go check out sarahs blog :) xxx shelly
