tuesday morning sketches

happy saturday :) hope youre having a great weekend! i am :)
this card is for TMS .  I love Melissas sketches !  its been a tough year so i havent had time to play along with the sketch challenges i so love, but things are getting back to normal for a little while anyways. ill be moving soon so lets see  how organized i can stay :)
for my take on her sketch i used my cricut and george (heart) and jasmine ( my love and corners) cartridges. i used the utee/cracked glass effect on the heart. first i cut it out, then used a heart stamp on it then uteed (ultra thick embossing enamel)  it .
DIRECTIONS: all you do  is apply versamark over your image, add utee over that, heat emboss it. let it cool for a minute or so, do this process 3 or 4 times. then pop it in your freezer for about 20 minutes. take it out and bend your image , not too hard see how it breaks...do this at different angles, wherever you want the look to appear. if a piece breaks off just go reheat it the be a bit gentler next time :)  then take a dye based ink ( i like tim holtz distress inks for this) and rub it over your image. then take a paper towel and wipe off the ink. it will settle into the cracks. neat eh :)
my extras include colorbox fluid chalk, basic grey pearls, a metal key. paper is webster pages.
thanks a million for stopping by. love reading your comments :) see ya on your blog :) XXXshelly
