happy monday :)  yep its the end of the month and time for our BBTB2 bloghop! be sure to follow along and join  in the fun :)  details and hop order will be under my card.

for this weeks challenge  maria chose our theme  to use MORE than one  heart from the lovestruck cartridge, doing a scrapbook page or card about someone or something you love. remember if you dont own this cart you can use any hearts from any cartridge.

 i made this for a man in mind so i wanted to keep it simple in design and color. 

i used hearts from lovestruck putting 2 thru the cuttlebug and added colorbox fluid chalk added a couple foam dimensionals.. all paper is stampin up ( (always artichoke,chocolate chip,river rock, sahara sand,,red riding hood and grey) 

i hand scratched the sentiment  that reads i followed my heart on the inside it finishes with and found you.

the kraft journal challenge 3

happy friday :) this is for this weeks challenge of anything goes over at TKJ . i actually started on a different project altogether but its taking me longer than anticipated so ill save that for another time.

for this card i used kraft paper, purchased from TKJ of course,  for the base of the card, the word love, a circle, and 2 of the hearts which i cut from my cricut machine and love struck cartridge. i added a crocheted flower that i added a button to and bakers string which i purchased from TKJ. the red heart pearls are from hero arts. i also used colorbox fluid chalk and added dots with acrylic paint. the inside reads with all my heart. paper is tim holtz. thanks so much for stopping by hope your day has been fun :) XXXshelly

for my card i used my cricut and create a critter cartridge for all  the cuts. the grass i just handcut.i added some stickles and colorbox fluid chalk and did a little hand doodling.paper is basic grey sugar rush.

happy wednesday :) this week over at CCC jamie has chosen our theme....heat things up! hot chocolate, tea,coffee, heat emboss,hot colors, something spicey..its up to you, come join us and  lets see how hot  you make it!

for my card i kept it very simple. used my cricut and joys of the season cartridge for the tea cups which i added a little string a tag for a tea bag. i added an invitation to the inside of this .

extras include; kaiser pearls,buttons,  color box fluid chalk and i used MS ddoily lace punch and butterflies  and cuttlebug swissdots folder. paper is making memories. card stock is SU close to cocoa.

 i dont own that cart so i used my new create a creature cart instead. i love this cart! so many cute cute animal images. im kid card challenged and think this cart will really help me with that ..fingers crossed anyways :) 

for layer  feature on wings i cut that in vellum and added some stickles. the stamped sentiment is from creative visions clear stamps birthday set. (link on my sidebar) i added dots of stickles to that also. paper is DCWV and SU.

 i made a sympathy or things will get better type of  card.i decided to keep it simple and used one cut from my cricut and a child's year cartridge. the stamp image was hard for me to get a good picture of. where im living now doesn't have very good lighting, even outside and  its overcast here so the lighting just isn't right at all. sorry about that :)  the sentiment is from creative visions clear stamps ( there's a link on my side bar) it reads finding comfort can be hard to do, the inside reads put your faith in  in god he'll see you through . i used a but of colorbox fluid chalk .paper is memory box and the card base is SU

happy wednesday :) this week over at CCC  jeri  has chosen the theme of a snowman. i so love snowmen :) be sure to head on over to the blog and see how the rest of the DT1 has melted your heart with their snowy cuteness.

i made 2 tags using very merry tags.on the second tag i added the sentiment "do you see what i see" the rest of the cuts are from doodlecharms. i cut the snowman using the shift key . hand cut the snowhills using some colorbox fluid chalk to color them. the tag i also used that plus added tim holtz tea dye distressing ink and added some icicle stickles. also a tad of ribbon. another easy peasy couple minute thing but cute eh :) thanks so much for having a peek here have a crafty fun rest of day :) XXXshelly

the Kraft Journal

happy monday:) this is for this weeks challenge ,which is family inspired, over at the TKJ. im telling ya its the best place to get your kraft papers  etc  at great prices and super fast shipping. plus great inspiration there too.

for my card i used kraft cardstock for the base, the dark brown paper is SU chocolate chip and the green is coordinations which i tore around the top and bottom edges revealing the lighter green core. i added some twill tying tape (purchased from TKJ) along the left edge. 

for the leaves i cut them out in ivory cardstock, using my cuttlebug. i inked the color on with colorbox fluid chalk. i use  various colors of  greens, reds and  yellows, just inking until i get the look im satisfied with.  i used a pica micron pen ( from michaels) to add veins to the leaves. then just  bend and roll the leaves  to try to make them look realistic. i adhered two of them with pop dots.

the sentiment is a stamp from creative visions(one family CV0057) i added bakers twine ( purchased from TKJ) and tiny rhinestones. i also used a metal photo turn which i added a felt topped brad to.

happy monday! hope your week is off to a great start. this week over at BBTB2 our  ever so sweet and lovely krista chose our theme.. it to use either the armadillo or the cute bird from birthday bash cartridge. be sure to hop on over and see what cute cute stuff the rest of the DT has made ..as always youll be awed at their talent. 
i dont own the cart so i used home decor for my whimsy lil birdies. you can do the same use whatever you have, just have fun with it all.  i actually cased this entire card from myself . i never make 2 of the same card, but this came to mind when i thought of a friend i want to send this to so.. i remade. anyway .. i used my cuttlebug for the side panel flowers and added a button to each. paper is crate. added a lil colorbox fluid chalk. thats it. another easy easy one. thanks so much for stopping by the blog today i love reading all your comments :) i think ive finally muddled through all my emails and etc and caught up on all my DT stuff  since i was away so long so finally  ill see ya on your blogs! :) have a great rest of day! i also am entering this into a a new challenge blog i found erin lee creative  , the inspirtation each week is a song...how neat eh . i think this will be fun.

for my tag i used my cricut and sweethearts cartridge. i cut the medallion and scroll heart in SU cherry cobbler. i scrunched them together. added the inside cut of the scroll heart as well. the word love is cut in perfect plum.i added a metal flower pearls and colorbox fluid chalk plus some lace along the bottom edge and a little bit of lavender shimmery ribbon. thats it, easy peasy :) thanks so much for stopping by and as always your comments are always appreciated. have a great fun weekend! im trying to get a handle on cards for kids as its not my strong point. ;) 

for my card i used my cricut and create  a critter cartridge ( horse and stars/badges ,howdy.) a sweet cart with the most adorable animals :) the flies are cuttlebug. i added some twine and brads and colorbox fluid chalk.

Crafty Creations Challenges #101

happy wednesday :) this week over at CCC sharon has chosen our challenge this week which is new beginnings. wedding, baby, engagement etc. be sure to come play along lets see what new is happening for you. for my card i was very much inspired by a SU idea book.
i used my cricut and tagsbagsboxesandmore cartridge to create the box.i punched 3 different sized circles, distressed the edges then cut them almost to centers, then scrunched them up some.adding a  pearl brad top hold them together.for the marquee i used my cuttlebug (from the cut and emboss pumpkin set) i added a metal brad and pearls  to that also.

design dollies

happy tuesday again :) i found a new challenge spot..Design dollies . this week their theme is a colour challenge. blue,kraft, red and white.i just got create a critter cartridge for my cricut expression and have been anxious to use it. i have a hard time with kids cards this cart is going to make it so easy! fingers crossed :) 
i cut the whale and crab and word splash , added some stickles and cloud9 raindots and a bit of colorbox fluid chalk. kept it simple simple since its for a kid who as we all know could give a rats behind about a birthday card ;) so...hope ya like this one thanks for stopping by the ol blog today :) xxxshelly

                                              

fantabulous cricut challenge me monday

happy tuesday :) over at FCC their theme is to use warm attire, sweater, hat, mittens etc. go check that out and see what prize theyre offering up :) i altered a gift bag and made a matching card. YAY me im now  2 up on christmas stuff for 2011!it was hard photoing both of these sorry about that...
i used my cricut and joys of the season cartridge for the mittens and hat. snowflakes are cuttlebug i put a smidge of stickles on them..  paper is memory box. i added robins nest pearl dew drops and used colorbox fluid chalk. the little stamped sentiment is SU and says have yourself a merry little christmas.hope your day is great thanks for stopping by :) xxxshelly

the kraft journal

happy tuesday :)  i love kraft paper and found a nifty inexpensive fast shipping place to purchase it plus extra kraft goodies, bags etc.. along with that they have a challenge blog using their products. :) so head on over to  TKJ and check all that out.
i just got my stuff in the mail yesterday and i couldnt wait to use it :)  this week their theme is flourish.
for my card i used kraft cardstock for the base of the card and the panel with  the flourish. i inked them some with colorbox fluid chalk. for the flourish , they started out white but i just didnt think it flowed right, so i colored them with alchol ink in pesto and swirled some of that onto the kraft panel. .added felt flowers and stuck a rhinestone in the centers. pop dots under 2 of them.. butterflies are MS punch again using mulberry papers. thanks so much for popping in for a few hope your day is fun and crafty :) xxxshelly

happy monday :) this week over at BBTB  our challenge is to use the hummingbird from lyrical letters. i dont own that cartridge so substituted the humming bird from home accents. you too can use what ya have , come on join in :)
my card was SU inspired. i used a swirl stamp in white on SU wild wasabi paper. the designer paper is webster pages. i cut out a couple of flowers from the paper and adhered them onto the stamped image. i added stickles to the hummingbird which is SU perfect plum. i dotted the centers of flowers with liquid pearls (buttercup). the stamped sentiment is from creative visions clear stamps, theres a link on my side bar..great stamps and laura is a sweetheart! go check out her shop , you wont leave empty handed :) thanks so much for stopping by and your comments are so much appreciated. have a fun rest of day  :) XXXshelly

altered kleenex box /birdhouse

happy saturday :) over at SugarSweetPaperTreats their january challenge is to alter something. be sure to head on over to their blog, and play along theiyre offering up a cricut cartridge to the winner. 

for my entry i opted for a kleenex box and made it into a cute lil birdie house for my daughter.

i used my cricut  and storybook( bird and branches) george (flowers and bird-house hole) pooh and friends (bees) cartridges. the butterflies are martha stewart punch. for the roof i just used an A@sized card. i then added an ek success punch scallop along the edges. added liquid pearls to flower centers and used colorbox fluid chalk.  paper is tim holtz. i love this pack of paper!

in the photo i hadnt finished off the sides, wanted to show it was a kleeenex box first ;)

i decided to make a guy card. for this i used crate paper. i added a piece of corrugated cardboard, a doohickey to hold paper..oh i hate when i forget what things are called.. photo turns..thats it! i think ;) anyhow....i added a brad to the center of that. i used my cricut base camp cartridge and design studio welded the word birthday. i used george for the stars, adding brads to the centers, and some twine. added a little colorbox fluid chalk and thats it. hope your days been a good one and you have a fab fun weekend. thanks so much for spending time with me and your comments make me smile :) thank you :) XXXshelly

happy wednesday :)  hope you had a safe  fun new years this week over at CCC  the ever awesome jeri who heads our DT1 has chosen a new years theme using a clock. im new years themed challenged as im just not a new years celebratin girl so this was a bit of a challenge for me. altho i made a card, i think ill probably use this as a scrap book element..we'll see how things go. 

for this i used wild card for the clock (frame feature)thats under the title.i cut out the clock face from the prepatterned paper i used, which is DCWV. i also cut another from the pack and pop dotted it over another for a little dimension  . the corners are sizzix.,sizzex  oh darn i always forget how to spell that :) i added a couple of brads and colorbox fluid chalk. thanks so much for hanging out here with me, hope you have a great rest of day and as always your comments are cherished.  XXXshelly
