happy friday! gonna keep this short and simple, yet picture heavy as it's my birthday and i'm off to do things with my daughter and mom. this week i made 2 projects for our anything goes challenge #3 over at cardztv. one is a fun little hallow~scene and the other a quick simple magnet.
here's my hallow~scene
my glue gun got a good work out :)
to start with , i glued some moss to a thin piece of unfinished wood i found at hobby lobby. i shop there a lot as it's right across the street from me. seriously, a 5 minute walk!
i just used a few fun things i had in my stash. the cats are unfinished chipboard i colored with a black sharpie then added yellow stickles for eyes.
the rats are a martha stewart punch, the pumpkins are buttons and i made the mushrooms from unfinished wood chair plugs or caps ( found at hobby lobby) i colored them with bic mark its and dotted some with with white acrylic paint. i added google eyes in the moss for some extra added fun :)
the bats are a cuttlebug die and the owls are some 3d stickers my daughter picked up for me. the trees are picks i got from hobby lobby
i used pulled apart cotton balls for the spider webs
found the spider in the jewelry section at hobby lobby.
the tombstones are cuttlebug dies i used the "trick or treat" stamp set for the mischief and mayhem.
project 2
i painted an unfinished wood heart with black chalkboard paint. after it dried i brushed on some petroleum jelly ( in the parts where the grey is) then painted with my other color (cheapy acrylics) once that dried i took a paper towel and wiped. the top coat comes off where the jelly was. pretty nifty no sanding needed. i hot glued some little flowers tied with a burlap string. also glued a magnet onto the back.
i used a stamp from the "favorite sayings" stamp set.
you can pick these awesome stamps sets ~>here<~
