happy wednesday :) this week our challenge over at WW is "fun with folds". that is to make a card other than shaped or A2 type.

i decided to make 2 cards for this challenge.
the first is called a pop~up stage card. i found it on splitcoaststampers. instead of me trying to explain myself just click ~>here<~ and you will get the tutorial from kim score.
it looks a little intimidating but i swear its super~duper easy, otherwise i wouldnt have made one ;)

                                                             the front /closed

slide the band off to open

                                                                       a top view
oh, make sure if you use sparkly glue stuff, wait until it dries completely
before you close this . trust me! ( a not out of the ordinary duh moment                                                                       for  me lol)

                                                               front of card
see how the top looks like a z

remember i told ya i used the negative cut from the reindeer

the "inside" of the card where you can write something personal

details: my cricut and winterwoodland  (deer, tag and seasons greetings) and jasmine (corners) cartridges
sizzix and marvy punch (snowflakes), SU stamped sentiment

Mojovate me #3

happy saturday :)  this card is for my crafty buddy rose and my sketch challenge were having to keep us motivated or get our mojo back.  this time it was her turn to choose our sketch. oh and she added in what she THOUGHT was going to be a stumbling block for me, NO patterned paper. ok if she had been sitting near me when she came up with that one id have kicked her a good one lol, but since my leg cant reach that far i figured id just show her. pllllt to you friend ;)
heres the sketch she picked from CAS
                                                                      heres the sketch

and heres my take on it
i used my cricut and george cartridge for the hearts. i ran the bottom part of the base of the card thru my cuttlebug with swiss dots folder. i added buttons a computer generated saying ( my heart is blessed because youre in it) and added colorbox fluid chalk to the embossing and hearts. easy peasy :)

cricutcardzchallenge

happy wednesday :) this week over at CCC jeri has us using a Monogram. i have to say at first i struggled with this because im not a fan of the monogrammed type of stuff.  in fact i made a card, which you will see later this week, showed it to my crafty buddy who agreed the monogram HAD to go :)  at first i left it then sat down here and started this post and all the sudden a whole different idea came to mind.   so jeri picked a great challenge for me. thanks my friend! so.. heres what i came up with it. i made it for my beautiful daughter brandi

can you find the monogram ? it took my mom and kiddo  a few minutes :)
smarty pants :) yep i put the letter b in a flower pot..added vines and flowers. my daughter is a 'shroom fan and just got 5 of these fungi tatted on her lower back so i of course had to add some of those.

happy monday. my friend rose and i are having a fun little sketch challenge to keep our mojo going or try to bring it back, each week we take a turn picking out a sketch to use. i say each week ..were giving each a week to get the sketch done..if we both get it done sooner then we pick out a new sketch sooner. so... this time it was my turn to find a sketch. i went to CPS and found this fun sketch in their archives to try.
                                                                        cps sketch #26
i  just realized i forgot to add an element on the top right of the front panel.. oh well i may go back and add a leaf but probably wont :)

papercutzchallenges

happy friday :) hope your weeks been a good one :)
hope ya had a blast on our sparklin bloghop last week!

this week were doing something different over at PCC. instead of mary choosing our challenge one of us DT gals is taking the honors. this week our fab lisa  has chosen our challenge "the skys the limit" . that means ANYTHING you find in the sky.. from birds to planes :) anything ya can think of will do :) how fun!
the card for this week was actually made for a different challenge that required a monogrm. i really did not like how it turned out  so i put this aside. when i thought about the pcc challenge this week i thought this went together a lot better :) when i think of owls i always associate them with either snow or moon and stars.  i made this for my daughter who saw it monogrammed and didnt care for that either...i said moon and stars? and she said yep but glitz the stars up :) so since its going to her i did just that :)
i know shell really like this hope you do too . thanks so much for sittin here with me today :) have a fun weekend :) xxxshelly
details on card: my cricut and storybook(owl) and paperdolls (moon and stars, accessiories3 feature with vampireboy) cartridges. stickles, colorbox fluid chalk paper is dcwv; la creme (thanks rose!)

bittenbythebug2

happy monday!  over at BBTB2  our lovely sweet penny has chosen our cut this week.  the mittens from joys of the season . i  love making christmas cards and adore this cartridge :) be sure to stop by the bbtb bog and check out what the rest of the awesome dt has created using this fun cut :) also be sure to play along you may be chosen to wear our POW (pick of the week) badge :)  remember if you dont own this cart its all good just use mittens from another.
for my card i used
JOTS: mittens
george: hearts
cuttlebug and marvy punch : snowflakes
teensy clothespins and hemp
color box fluid chalk and tim holtz distress stickles (rock candy~ which by the way DO rock! )
stamped sentiment "my sentiments exactly "
as you can see i didnt attach the clothes pin to the hemp, the reason is i was afraid it may be "unglue" the hemp if jostled around too much. i probably should add a bit of glue or a glue dot under those c/pins eh.   i also wanted to show the distress stickles.sorry my cam didnt pick them up a little better. i dont like too much glitz and love how subtle these are! thank you tim holtz! ( lol yeah like the worlds cutest boy ever is gonna come to MY blog and see that)
thanks mickey for the stamps! this went perfectly with the theme :)
thank you for stopping by my blog :) your sweet words always leave me smiling. hope your week is off to a great start!!!  have a crafty day :)xxxshelly
