bussing it with bitten by the bug 2

happy monday :) this week  at bbtb2 our fab leader susan has challenged us to use a bus. be sure to check out the fun projects from the rest of the dt and play along with us we love when you do!

i made a gift card holder, thought it would be nice to give the bus driver a starbucks coffee gift card im sure its much needed the next morning having to drive all those brats sweet darling children to school safely :)
i used doodlecharms charm feature for the bus and sesame street seasons for the word school.
i added a little twine , its supposed to be a road ..hmm i dont know about this.

i was going to add twine and just let this hang down but it covered the text, just didnt look right and i didnt feel like cutting it smaller thats where i decided the twine i cut could be the road :) so.. i folded the tab over and glued it down
then added a velcro dot . i also added buttons for the tires.
before i assembled it all i ran the bag thru by printer for the text.

hope ya like this simple simple but i think a bus driver would appreciate it :)
thanks for stopping by my blog your sweet comments always make me smile thank you for that :) have a great rest of day/night and happy crafting!xxxshelly

sketchy friday challenge

happy friday :) hope youve had a great week and are ready for another fun sketch to play with at sketchy friday.  be sure to check out the rest of the dts awesome cards and say hello to a couple of new DT ladies weve picked up along the way :)

i used SKdigis heart dandelion for my card i just love this digi :)
i used my cricut and doodlecharms cartridge for the hearts.

i used some glass effects gel on this but it was kinda runny guess i should have shook the bottle up a tad first ;) so, i ended up just adding some stickles to it which i ended up liking the way the g/effects and stickles muted together. you know im kinda a sloppy crafter :)
the cute little birdies i cut from the patterned paper
the sentiment i computer generated and used an su stamp on  before i remembered a sentiment comes along with this sweet digi. duh me :) i need to organize my digis better.

thanks so much for stopping by my blog hope ive inspired you to share your work with us  :) thanks also for the sweet comments they always make me smile :) happy crafting! xxxshelly

bittenbythebug2 santa

happy monday! this week over at bbtb2 our sweet and creative brenda is our hostess and has chosen for us a santa cut from any cartridge. be sure to check out the rest of the super fabulous samples from the rest of the dt.
thanks for the fun challenge brenda!

i got the idea for this cute card made by kristen of paper creations by krista, ~>here's <~ her cute card.
i was going to go into design studio and form the stamped shape into the actual card like kristas but i got lazy. i think it still turned out cute. this is my fave santa cut from cricut.
i used doodlecharms for santa. i used c/bug and divine swirls for embossing on him. i used another folder for the b/g paper and sanded it. im not sure what the folder is called as i didnt label my folders. wish i had for referance. i used create a critter for the stamp shape.

i added a few ho's and some colorbox fluid chalk and gold pearls. easy peasy but cute i think :)

thanks so much for stopping by today your sweet words always make me smile thank you for that too :) if i dont see ya before, have a safe and beautiful christmas! xxxshelly

i used foam stickies behind the basket and added some brads. i think i used pooh and friends for some of the leaves.. i always have extras from other projects and pop them in wherever needed. any leaves from any cartridge will do obviously :)

BittenByTheBug2

happy monday! this week over at BBTB2  our lovely and sweetly creative penny has chosen our theme , an ice cream from any cartridge. oh yum! i have severe food allergies so i actually havent had ice cream in about 15 years. yeah shoot me now!  although it makes me crave one of my fave treats it was still a super fun challenge :)  be sure to check out the rest of the dreamy ice creamy creations from the rest of the DT chickies :) and be sure to play along as we really love when you do that :)

i made to little cards using doodlecharms cartridge.
i made ice cream shaped cards by welding the image in design studio. the stems on the cherries are the negative cut from inside the ice cream. i used viva decor glass effect gel on the cherries and the inside ice cream cuts.

this sentiment is from whimsical designs whimsical fun volume 1.
this sentiment i computer generated. sorry for the fuzzy pic, i tried 3 times and this was the best.. when i get frustrated i say forget it! ;)

thanks so much for stoppin by the blog your comments always make me smile thank you   for that :)  now go have some crafty fun! and have a super rest of day  xxxshelly

whimsical wednesdays home for the holidays

happy wednesday :) this week over at WW  our fun  challenge is to create a christmas or  winter themed home decor project.  be sure to check out the awesome projects the rest of the dt ladies have come up with i tell ya im amazed by their creativity every week.

our sponsor this week once again is our ever generous NANNE who is offering up some websters scrap supplies. how sweet eh!

ive made a couple of things  so this is going to be a bit picture heavy :)

for this super easy and inexpensive home decoration  i took a small grapevine wreath ( about 50 cents at michaels) and added some plastic clear facets , pearls and paper flowers and punched some branches from a MS punch.
these facets were clear, to color them i added them to a plastic baggie added a couple drops of alcohol inks, smooshed them around a bit  let them dry and waahoo, gorgeous color :)  i added some glitz to the branches using my viva decor glitter writer. what i like about this compared to stickles is the gel liner dries raised where stickles dry flat.
i added some chunky glitter to the flowers but im not sure you can see that from this photo, in the real its pretty just a bit of sparkle.
i covered a 4 inch coaster with paper, behind it i attached some lace that i distressed a little with distress stain.  for the candle i used my cricut and joys of the season cartridge. i applied viva decor glass effects over it. for the berries i used cloud 9 raindots. the stamp is from stepahnies set called snow much fun. you can see the entire set plus other sets ~>here<~

for my next projects i made these fantastic treat boxes that i cased from jayne over at jaynes designs.for the exact instructions  head on over to her blog you will see a link up to her boxes on her side bar. just click on the pic and it will take you right to them.  be sure to check out her entire blog though , youre jaw will just *hit~ the~ floor* she is soooo talented! thank you so much jayne for your inspiration and allowing me to copy and post the cutest boxes ever!

arent these just fantastic! jaynes are way cuter...but i like mine too :)

                                                                first heres santa
see that sweet little stamp its from the snow much fun set too. in fact all the   stamps on todays projects are stephanies.
a bit blurry huh...sorry about that. i love that her stamps are clear type so you can shape them some.  i colored the leaves in with marker then added viva decor pearl pen for berries. i added a tad bit of liquid applique ( didnt heat it) to the tops of the marshmallows.

the next one is a cute lil reindeer
and last but not least  mr snowman and his flakey friend ( from snow much fun stamp set)
i added some chunky glitter to him and stickles to little flakey
another stamp from the let it snow set
thanks so much for sticking by my side with this long post :) dont forget to head on over to see the rest of the WW DT projects  and go give jayne some blog luv too for being so kind to post exact directions on these fabulous and easy treat boxes!  thank you bunches again sweet jayne. as always  your kind comments leave me with a warm heart, thanks for that! xxx shelly
