im entering this over at craftin desert divas linky party (red white and blue)
and

bittenbythebug2 gift giving
happy monday! this week over at bbtb2 our lovely suzanne is our hostess. she has challenged us to decorate a bag or tag using any cartridge. be sure to check out the rest of the dts amazing projects. as usual you will be amazed. be sure to play along with us too we love when you do. please just remember to use a cricut cut as your main image and oh please oh please turn off word verification. i cant comment on your blog if you have that turned on and that saddens me :(
i altered 2 little lunch bags for this weeks challenge
i used snow friends for the snow peeps. this bag will be filled with a cocoa mix for those cold nights :)
i added a bow from wraphia paper ribbon adding a teensy bell onto that. i also added a little sparkle to it using my viva decor glitter liner. i also added some hatpins. theyre actually flowers but i thought they could pass as snowflakes too :) and a piece of sparkly wired ribbon.
the other bag will be filled with
oh yeah! i used from my kitchen cart for the cookies cut.
yummo is right! i added a clothespin to keep this closed. i used rock candy stickles on it tossed a bell around it and put a piece of ribbon too. it just needed a lil something to not look so plain but not get in the way when the bag is joyously opened for my gosh darn fantastic cookie goodness. . yep i can bake big time :)
well i hope ive inspired ya to play along with us. thanks bunches for visiting me and my fuzzypunk geddy, who is awaiting christmas with extra purrs because its also his birthday so he knows extra treats are headed his way . my lil baby will be 16 years old this year!

i made a fridge magnet
see those cute little magnet pebbles, my crafty daughter makes them! i have about 20 on my fridge with things i love, daisies apples woodstock ladybugs etc and my fave that says i love you mom :) shes a good kid ;)
i used the cartridge from my kitchen to make the rolling pin. i was going to make a card welded in design studio but got frustrated as i usually do with it so went the magnet way instead. nothing fancy just regular and blackout cuts at 7 inches. im going to give this to a friend of mine. thanks a million for stoppin by the blog. your kind words always make me smile thank you for that. hope yor day is fun filled :) xxxshelly

happy monday! sure hope you had a magnificant moms day.
this week over at thebug2 our theme is bakery...make a card or project of something youd find in a bakery using any cartridge. be sure you check out the rest of the dts yumminess and be sure to play along we always love that! :)
for this weeks challenge i made a birthday card for my daughter who turned 30 on saturday. my oh my where has the time gone!! we celebrated a day early as her and her fiancee took off to monterey. lucky her gets to go whale watching!
we had a fun little party, at her request i made lasagne. shes not a cake person really, yeah i know whats wrong with her!!! so instead of a cake i went to a local bakery shop and picked her up2 marvelous cupcakes ( blueberry with lemon frosting and peanut butter) and i made her second request, a caramel apple cheesecake.
i kept this simple no foam stickies just layers and blackout cuts
and a little colorbox fluid chalk
i used the cartridge from in my kitchen for the cupcake. the sentiment is computer generated.
thats it :) thanks so much for stopping by my blog your comments always make me smile thank you for that :) have a great rest of day! XXXshelly

cricutcardzchallenges
happy wednesday :) this week over at CCC jeri has chosen our challenge to be graduation. hope you play along with us .
i chose to make a tag that i made a pocket on the back to add a gift card.
i used from my kitchen cartridge for the index card and wild card for the hat and diploma. i used thick glue dots for added dimension under the hat and diploma. i inked the card up with tim holtz distress stains and ink pads. ( wild honey, vintage photo and fired brick.) i received a card with this sentiment on it awhile back and thought it fit for the occasion.
thanks so much for stopping by as always your comments are truly appreciated. :) have a crafty day :) xxxshelly Wednesday, February 16, 2011
cricutcardzchallenges #62
happy wednesday :) well at least i hope it is :) this week over at CCC the lovely as ever jeri has chosen our theme to be a cup of cheer. now who couldnt use that every day :) i know i sure could, even if the day is going fabulous a little extra does ya good :)be sure to skedaddle on over to see the rest of the dt cards and play along, lets see how your cup runneth over :) (yeah i know ive gotten quite cheesy here)
for my card i used Joys of the season for the teacup and from my kitchen for the spoon. i hand cut a little teabag from a bit of cardstock and inked it with colorbox fluid chalk. for the sugar cubes i just used itsy bitsy foam dots and left the shiny side of the paper on it, then added stickles for sugary sweet glimmer. the round stamp is from creative clearvisions stamps..theres a link on my side bar laura has some awesome stamps that stamp out perfectly every time :) thanks so much for sittin here with me for a bit and as always your comments make me smile :) XXXshelly

BittenByTheBug2
happy monday and 2010! well as always each year brings in new changes for us all and over at BittenByTheBug we have some new changes going on. the awesome regina easter has decided to step down from BBTB. She will be greatly missed by as all . regina gave me my first opportunity at being on a design team a little over a year ago ( i still pinch myself daily!) and she just has made my confidence soar! i will be forever grateful to her. she truly is one fine LADY.
Be sure to follow reginas cutting cafe where you will find the most awesome digi stamps/printables and she has a fabulous design team there as well.
fortunatly for us all the uber talented heather has taken over for regina..so arrives BBTB2..woo hoo!!!! i KNOW heather will do a fabulous job and am looking forward to what she has in store for us this year :)
so be sure to follow along our new journey with us :) you'll still be able to link back to the BBTB for inspiration too.
so our first challenge for this year was to use the in style cut from the graphically speaking cartridge.
i decided to make a little shopping purse . wouldnt this make the cutest bag to give someone with a couple gift cards tucked inside.
i cut the purse from the plantin cartridge (tall ball feature)
the stylin piggy is from my brand new from my kitchen cartridge added some pearls, flowers a button and ribbon. and used a little colorbox fluid chalk. paper is my minds eye.
so now pop on over to BBTB2 and see what the rest of the DT has designed for your eyes :) and i hope you join in.
thanks so much for stopping by have a super rest of day XXX shelly
