back to school in my cricut craftroom

happy thursday!  todays theme in my cricut craftroom is to create something for back to school.
i made a gift card holder for a teacher.or even for your own kid to let them get their supplies. i dont care how old ya are we all need that kinda silly something every so often to make us forget the stress :)

i used my cricut and simply charmed cart for this.the crayon box was cut at 5 inches the glue bottle at 5 inches and scissors at 3~1/4 inches. i cut 2 of the layer 1 feature. the first one i adhered atop the crayons the other i put behind the top layer with the face. i used sticky tape along the bottom and sides between those layers creating a pocket. i just wanted to insure the gift card didnt tear the crayons. so thats just an option for ya.

i used a stamp from cardztv  the love is in a jar set

festive friday in my cricut craftroom

 

happy friday! today at my cricut craftroom  were to make a fall decoration.fall is my absolute favorite time of year :) i made a tabletop display. i like making tablescapes in baskets or on trays that way i can set them anywhere and if they need to be moved theyre done easily and usually without disrupting the display.

i used sesame street seasons for the 3d pumpkins cut at 1~1/2 and 2 inches. 

simply charmed was used for this 2~1/2 inch scarecrow

sesame street seasons was used for the tree  at 7 inches and leaves 1 inch.

i cut a bunch of the leaves glued a couple to the tree and just tossed the rest into the basket.i added some moss and some paper straw. i made a little hay bail out of paper straw wrapped and glued around a foam shape. when i can find some mini hay bails at the craft store ill put them in instead. im also looking for a couple of  small crows :)

this is another very simple yet sweet card.  i used simply charmed and added some rhinestones.

wearing sunglasses in my cricut craft room

happy wednesday :) today were to use sunglasses on our projects at my cricut craft room

this started out as a 4X4 mini card but instead turned it into a fun bookmark for my daughter. she mentioned she was thinking about getting some new sunglasses with a bit of bling because we all need that sometime so i thought this project would be cute to give her.  

i used the simply charmed cartridge for this 

i added glossy accents on the lenses and some rhinestones for bling a ling :) 

the sentiment is personal for her, she took a few tests at her school and passed with flying colors and got a certificate so im very very proud of her :) i added magnets between the b/g paper and cardstock on the insides so this stays closed over the page.

happy monday :) this week at BBTB2 its inspiration week  .we created summer themed projects just to inspire you :)  be sure to check the other dt projects that are sampled im sure youll love them all :)

im an autumn kind of girl so these summer themed things are very challenging for me

im not sure what ill use this for so i didnt add a sentiment but the inside says life can be a beach.

i used car decals for the sandals, simply charmed for the beach balland birds and create a critter for the sea shells and crabs

i used car decals for the dolphins

and doodle charms for the palm trees and sun. i used create a critter for the clouds.

i made a little popcicle gift card holder

                              i used simply charmed for this simple but cute card.  i cut the top layer using layer 1 feature and cut it at 5 1/4  the base i cut at 6. i forgot to take a pic but i pop dotted that top layer on the bottom and along the sides and tucked a gift card for a local ice cream place in there.

for the sentiment i used a stamp from whimsical designs, whimsical fun set

father's day with cardztv

happy friday! yay weekend! ok im retired so everyday is friday for me if i want it to be :) this week were celebrating dad so come play along with us. my dad passed away 3 years ago this november but i still have have my  step dad so of course gotta show him we care too :)

i made him a cute shirt card and altered a pringles can. im going to fill it up with his favorite nut, cashews. i'm sure im his favorite of us kids but this will definetly seal the deal ;)

 i used my cricut and simply charmed for the shirt tie and corners

 for the corners i cut extra lapels  and layered them. i used marys awesome  cardztv stamps for all the sentiments from  "youre the man" stamp set

 the mustache is from the stamp set but i computer generated the text.

my cricut craft room festive friday

 happy friday! todays is festive friday at MCCR  and the theme is bbq or picnic. i made up some bbq invites for a small gathering im having. i dont normally make cookie cutter cards but this time i did just to make things a little easier on myself.

 i used simply charmed for the glass of lemon~aid cut at 1~1/2 inches the  hamburger cut at 1~3/4 inches  and 3 birds on parade for the grill cut at 3 inch. i also cut extra layer cut from the lemonaid for the ice cubes.the  paper is echo park.i inked a bit and also kind of muushed the paper on the burger bun.i added foam dots under the glass and the burger.

 i computer generated the wording.

whimsical wednesday buttons and bows

for this challenge i made a cute little baby girlie card using my cricut

i used simply charmed and create a critter cartridges.i added rhinestone flowers and butterflies.

i dressed the baby bow up with stickles and a pink rhinestone.

i added buttons for the wheel centers. 

for the inside i added a blackout image and sentiment from whimsical designs whimsical fun vol 1 set

 i used simply charmed for these cute lil note cards. i attached the eggs/chickies onto action wobbles. wish i knew how to photo them in action they look adorbs all wobbly :)

happy wednesday! exciting news as cricutcardz is now crafty cardz challenges. now you can use more than your cricut to play along with us so you have no excuse not to ;)
this week our awesome mary  has challenged us to make a card for st pattys day using ONLY the colors green black and white. i went ahead and made 2 cards because one has some orange on it. i didnt think about that until after i made the first card.

i used simply charmed for the cute leprechaun and paper dolls for the shamrocks. for some reason everytime i see a leprechaun i start craving lucky charms cereal something fierce. i dont even like that stuff !

this is this years...a little more simple but i think it turned out kinda funny :)

i used simply charmed for both turkeys. i thought up the saying and computer generated it.

i wonder if ol turkeys gonna show up?  i added the gathering info and rsvp  inside but forgot to take a pic..i just cut a couple of turkey legs and added the info on  them.

happy thursday :) i made this card for a couple of challenges

for this i used my cricut and simply charmed cartridge for the fishing pole and fish on pole

i added googly eyes and computer generated the saying

the smaller fish are a stamp i added cloud9 raindots for the air bubbles and also to the corners of my card.
