christmas tag

happy saturday :) heres a little something i made this morning while waiting to go bowling.
im entering it into a couple of challenges.
DLART: linky party for december anything goes AND dianas thankful thursday challenge:red and green

little scrap pieces : its beginning to look a lot like christmas
tons of fun and inspiration on each of these challenge blogs and im sure theyd all just love for you to play along too.

                                                   
for this tag i cut out a tag with my cricut and tagsbagsboxesandmore cartridge, then traced it onto a piece of cardboard, cut it out with scissors then pulled off the top piece of paper from the cardboard to expose the corrugated part. then i painted it with distress paint (picket fence) once that dried i applied a bunch of chunky glitter. the tree is cut from the joys of the season cartridge. i inked it up with a little  SU stamp pad and also used my signo white gel pen . i added some clear rhinestones. for the snow mound i applied some snow-tex and more chunky glitter ( sorry couldnt get the photo to show that)

then i finsished it off with this beautiful crinkle ribbon from 3girlsjam (winter bundle, hollyberry and mistletoe .its so gorgeous!) i tied on a cute little silver bell. the star is a hatpin i adhered between my layers of the tree.

treat holders

happy tuesday:) ive made a couple of treat holders and entered them into the following challenges

for this first one i used cardstock from the kraftoutlet

i used my cricut and tagsbagsboxesandmore cartridge, tag pocket. i added a piece of acetate some cording, teensy bells, a pompom and punched snowflakes.. i also added some stickles to the flake and package but it didnt photo well. inside i added a teabag and mint candies.

for this one i used a bag from the kraftoutlet. i added in some cinnamon popcorn yum!

i used my cricut and storybook cartridge for the topper. added some cording, a mint candy and punched snowflake. the stamp is  from SU,stamped on kraft cardstock (from the kraftoutlet)

bbtb2 halloween container

happy monday :) this week over at BBTB2  our sweet and talented gal jeri has chosen our theme, make a 3D halloween container using any cartridge.

i made a popcorn/candy container using tagsbagsboxesandmore cartridge.

i decorated all 4 sides using paper dolls cartridge for all of the cuts. the bubbles on and around the cauldron are cloud9 rain dots. 

i used a white pen and hand drew spider webs and used pearls for the spiders

i love the look on this kittys face :) ive seen my very own sweet fuzzypunk geddy giving the same look :) 

 i used colorbox fluid chalk for some inking and also cut the container with sandable cardstock.

SKdigis challenge #6

happy monday! this week over at SKdigis our challenge is anything goes BUT with a twist, make a  shaped card other than a square or rectangle.  be sure to check out the fantastic samples from the rest of the DT and be sure to play along with us we love when you do! sonia has some super cute digis all so easy to work with :)
im also entering this over at DLART where diana is having a fun linky party so be sure to check that out im sure shed love for you to play along!
to make the shape of my card i used my cricut and tagsbagsboxesandmore cartridge and design studio. i welded 2 button shapes (page 109 in the handbook) together.
i used the home sweet home (mushroom) set for this. isnt that a cute 'shroom :) i just love the lil caterpillar accent :)

i paper pieced everything except the caterpillar and flowers. i just colored them in with distress markers. 

and sonia has created circle word digis too. i love these, they make my life so much easier as i have no program on my computer that allows me to do this. thank you sonia!!!!!

a fall tag/magnet

happy tuesday :) havent spent much time in my craftroom today but did make a little tag to enter into a few challenges
DLART who has a linky party going on through the end of this month
and her thankful thursday challenge which is use something a friend has given to you

i didnt add any sort of sentiment yet  as i dont know for sure what i want it to say.im going to give this to a friend i think..still undecided.i used my cricut and tagsbagsboxes&more cartridge for the tag

 my item from a friend are the flowers in the upper right corner and the buttons oh and the crimped paper embelli too. it was in a card she sent to me. yep i keep everything lol 

the bow is seam binding that i purchased at the kraft outlet that i colored with distress stains  i also  bought the kraft paper for the tag  at the kraft outlet. i added a felt flower that i cut using my cuttlebug. i added a jewel to it, added some pins and some memory thread for the green squiggly sprigs. ( you can find this over in your floss section at your craft store)

i hand drew the pumpkin and did a little hand stitching. i punched a border with gingham paper using a martha stewart punch.

i made a tag

for this i used my cricut and tagsbagsboxesandmore (tag) home decor (branches and flowers) and walk in my garden (flowerpot) cartridges.

 my flowers are pink and i added pink rhinestones to the centers my 3 embellies are the trim, the bow and the butterfly
i used 2 papers and then my image. i added the sentiment love which is a sizzix die cut .

for my tag base i used kraft cardstock (purchased thru the kraftoutlet) and my cricut and tagsbagsboxesandmore cartridge. 
the glassine bag is also from thekraftoutlet

for this cute deer and extra fish , i used my cricut and campin critters cartridge. i added blue/white twine again purchased from the kraft outlet. also added hemp twine and used a bit of colorbox fluid chalk and a white signo gel pen.

the glassine bag was also purchased at kraftoutlet.i filled it with goldfish .  i used the same cut from my cricut as the large tag.

whimsical wednesday "anything goes"challenge # 39

happy wednesday :) hope the weeks been good to ya so far :)
 hey, guess what!
whimsical designs is having a design team call for the upcoming term. anyone whos interested in becoming a designer should click on the contact button at the whimsical designs blog and email stephanie for more information. 

this week over at WW our challenge is make a card or project using hearts. 

i made a cute lil 4X4 mini card and gift box. 
ive entered this in the  following challenges: 
littlescrappieces:anything goes

for the card i used a prima stamp from the jack and jill collection. isnt jack just the sweetest guy

:)  i colored him in with distress inks.

for the heart balloon i used my cuttelbug.i added twine.  the sentiment and the little heart in the upper right corner are from stephanies "with love" set .

the heart border is from the set also i stamped the larger heart close together and cut out to make one long border. then i used a smaller heart stamp on the insides adding distress rock candy stickles.

for the box i used my cricut and tagsbagsboxesandmore cartridge. i cut the box at 5 inches, it holds 6 hershey kisses. when the valentines ones come out ill add those instead of the plain silver wrapped ones. just wanted to show the box filled ;) 

                                              heres the top of the box where it opens. i forgot to take pics of the sides, i stamped the biggest heart on each side.

whimsical wednesdays home for the holidays

happy wednesday :) this week over at WW  our fun  challenge is to create a christmas or  winter themed home decor project.  be sure to check out the awesome projects the rest of the dt ladies have come up with i tell ya im amazed by their creativity every week.

ive made a couple of things  so this is going to be a bit picture heavy :)

for this super easy and inexpensive home decoration  i took a small grapevine wreath ( about 50 cents at michaels) and added some plastic clear facets , pearls and paper flowers and punched some branches from a MS punch.

these facets were clear, to color them i added them to a plastic baggie added a couple drops of alcohol inks, smooshed them around a bit  let them dry and waahoo, gorgeous color :)  i added some glitz to the branches using my viva decor glitter writer. what i like about this compared to stickles is the gel liner dries raised where stickles dry flat.

i added some chunky glitter to the flowers but im not sure you can see that from this photo, in the real its pretty just a bit of sparkle. 

i covered a 4 inch coaster with paper, behind it i attached some lace that i distressed a little with distress stain.  for the candle i used my cricut and joys of the season cartridge. i applied viva decor glass effects over it. for the berries i used cloud 9 raindots. the stamp is from stepahnies set called snow much fun. you can see the entire set plus other sets ~>here<~

 

for my next projects i made these fantastic treat boxes that i cased from jayne over at jaynes designs.for the exact instructions  head on over to her blog you will see a link up to her boxes on her side bar. just click on the pic and it will take you right to them.  be sure to check out her entire blog though , youre jaw will just *hit~ the~ floor* she is soooo talented! thank you so much jayne for your inspiration and allowing me to copy and post the cutest boxes ever!

                        see that sweet little stamp its from the snow much fun set too. in fact all the   stamps on todays projects are stephanies.

a bit blurry huh...sorry about that. i love that her stamps are clear type so you can shape them some.  i colored the leaves in with marker then added viva decor pearl pen for berries. i added a tad bit of liquid applique ( didnt heat it) to the tops of the marshmallows.

 and last but not least  mr snowman and his flakey friend ( from snow much fun stamp set) 

i added some chunky glitter to him and stickles to little flakey

papercutz #119 all hearts come home for christmas

happy friday! are you all prepared for christmas yet?  just when i think i am i always think of something else i need to do or get. but thats all in the fun of it right? ;) i actually love the last minute extras and crowds of people doing the same thing . yeah i know im weird. 
so.. this week over at PCC  our theme is to make a christmas themed card or project using hearts.  
                             i used my cricut and winterwoodland for this simple card.

                 i used tagsbagsboxesandmore cartridge for the heart and computer generated the saying. the snowflakes are a marvy punch. i added stickles to the centers. the gorgeous paper is my minds eye. i faux stitched around the kraft card base. i hand cut the snow hills and added colorbox fluid chalk. i like the kinda country bumpkin feel to this.

happy monday :) this week over at BBTB2 our  super creative gal on wheels jeri  ( traveling around the states in her rv are you as jealous as i am! ;)  has chosen our challenge . create a 3D box using tagsbagsboxesandmore cartridge. if you dont have that one then use any other cartridge theres several that have gift boxes on them.

  i used the heart gift box from TBBM 

i hand made the flowers using a circle punch from kraft colored  paper and wraphia ribbon  for the greenery behind them

adding distress stickles (spun sugar and stormy sky) and colorbox fluid chalk.

the butterflies are  martha stewart punch i also added the same distress stickles to them

heres a top view. i added basicgrey pearls and some dot accents . i used colorbox fluid chalk all alone the box edges

i added a lace border which i spritzed with homemade glitzyspritz (my word)  in spun sugar buttons and hat pins. hope my box has inspired you be sure to check out the cute boxes the rest of the dt have fancied up for us :) and play along too we love seeing your awesome projects :)

papercutz banner challenge

happy friday :) this week over at PCC our challenge is to use a banner. i wasnt thrilled with the first card i made so i made 2 for this week . be sure to head on over to the PCC blog and see what the rest of the DT has created this week and of course join in with us :) 

for the first card i  cut some circles in half and added hearts and flowers from my cricut and accent essentials cartridge. easy easy but like i said not thrilled with it...so....

my second card i used my cricut and tagsbagsandmore cart for some tags, i added hearts from the same cart. and adhered to hemp for a banner. i used some paper raffia for "ribbon" and added a cute pink button. the wording is a SU stamp.  i also created a scallop using circles tossed on a few pearls inked up with colorbox fluid chalk. paper is tim holtz. i am so in love with this paper pack i have to sort of hide it from myself so i dont use it on every card i make :)
