bbtb2 snowflakes

happy monday ! sure hope your holidays were fun festive and safe :)
so did ya miss us over at the bug2? although we all enjoyed our time off were also glad to be back in our craft caves creating away for you :)
to start off the year our theme is snowflakes..i love snow,huge beautiful flakes and snowmen :)
i made an ornament, but didnt have a chance to use it so its tucked away snuggly for next year :)

im entering this over at dl.art for dianas fun linky party.

for this i used "when its cold outside" cartridge. i took a coaster and covered it with a paper doily then the flake cut. i added some rhinestones for pretty sparkle.

for the cute lil snowman i used some sparkly styrofoam balls i found at hobby lobby. i used a sharpie for his eyes and mouth, a piece of raffia (rolled in glue so it would harden and stay straight) and some cord that i unraveled a bit for his scarf and broke pieces off a craft pick for his arms.
thats it easy peasy :)

when i hot glued him on i didnt have the coaster set just right so my snowman is kind of looking up but thats ok ill put him on the tree near a light so he can be looking up at that ;) ill just say that was the intent when i made it ;)

                              i altered a bag that ill be adding homemade peppermint bark to (hence the peppermint candy as sort of a hint of whats inside the bag)
                                         

this lovely saying is this weeks freebie from word art wednesday.

i used a cuttlebug die for the shape and put a doily behind it.i also used utee /cracked glass effect. i adhered a magnet to this so the recipient can add it to their collection on their fridge. 

the large embossed snowflake is sizzex and the smaller ones are cuttlebug.

i added a clothespin drenched in chunky glitter

i added some pretty crinkle ribbon from 3 girlsjam using my most favorite tool from them, the bow maker some memory thread and a homemade pearl hatpin

tis the season

happy sunday :) i made this for challenge 151 over at 365 cards   the challenge is the sketch.AND for the christmas in july challenge over at hiding in my craft room  be sure to go check out the cute dt reveals. 

i used a tree  stamp ( inkadinkadoo)  that my bestie rose bought for me. i added dots and rhinestones in and around it. the sentiment is from whimsical designs let it snow set.

i used my cricut and when its cold outside cartridge for the snowflake and added stickles and a rhinestone  to it.

happy friday :) this week over at PCC our challenge is using either a snowflake or snowman any colors. .this can either be handstamped, a digi image or a cricut image. be sure to head on over to the blog and see what the rest of the fun design team has come up with this week and of course be sure to play along with us!

for my card i used my cricut and when its cold outside (3~D snowflakes) and jasmine (corners) cartridges. the smaller snowflakes are a marvy punch.  i added rhinestones and a dab of stickles to snowflakes.i used colorbox fluid chalk,  dcwv  and SU cardstock.

Paper Cutz Challenges

happy friday! this week over at PCC  mary set our challenge to be snowflakes or snowmen .. i opted for both as i thought the cuts i used were cute with the sentiment. be sure to stop on by PCC and see what the other DT ladies have come up with plus play along :)
for this  i used my cricut and when it's cold outside cartridge for the snowflakes.. notice the snowmen shapes along the edges of the flakes..cute eh! if theyre hard to see just click on the pics they will enlarge for you.
 i added some thick embossing glitter and a touch of irridescent glitter to them. then plopped a  greenish rhinestone in the centers to keep with the green color already on the paper, which is my minds eye. i used foam dimensionals under them also . . i added a couple of StampinUp felt snowflakes too.  the snowmen were just cut out from the pre patterned paper. i hand cut the hills and inked them with colorbox fluid chalk. computer genertated the text which reads snowmen fall from the sky unassembled.
