apples to apples at paper playtime

happy monday :) this weeks theme at paper playtime is apples. my kitchen and diningroom are this theme :) (along with ladybugs,birdhouses and birds) if you havent yet be sure to pop on over and check out the rest of the dt samples and play along with us we love when you do!

wow wedding blog hop

happy saturday! today is the kick off for our weekend wow wedding blog hop hope youre having fun i know youre getting a ton of awesome ideas to make some fabulous projects
you should have arrived here from julies blog if not start ~>here<~ and you'll get on the right track :)  i'll let you know where to go next at the end of my post .
i made a simple yet cute card from  the SWEETHEARTS cartridge

the hearts were cut at 3~1/2 inch the car 2 inch.

                             

i added some buttons and used brads for the taillights. 

then used a stamp from cardztv happy days set. 

easy but cute eh :) 

i thought id show you a few cards i made a couple of years ago too

sorry i dont know any of the sizes. 

i used beyond birthdays for the hearts.

this is using stretch your imagination and the negative cut heart from george.

i did faux embossing with a stamp for the corners. ( you ink in a dark color then slightly offset your stamp inking in a lighter color)

and one last one for the bride to be again using sweethearts

i made a fun  cards using roo from pooh and friends.

i used george for the stars and computer generated some text on 2 of them added stickles on the red ones

i used my cricut and walk in my garden (vase,daisies) and beyond birthdays (thank you) cartridges. the butterfly is a martha punch. 

i added some pearls using viva decor pearl pens, lace and buttons.

happy wednesday! this week over at CCC our theme is theres no mother like my mother.. create a card for mothers day. be sure to pop on over CCC and see the rest of the dts beautiful cards for their moms :)

for my card i used beyond birthdays for MOM , accent essentials for the flowers , home accents for the vines and jasmine for the corners. paper is memory box. i added tiny pearls and colorbox fluid chalk.

                                                       the butterflies are MS punch.

                                              i used thick glue dots to add a tiny bit of dimension

cricut cardz challenges youve been framed

happy wednesday :)  this weeks challenge at CCC is to make a card using a frame from any cartridge.be sure to go check out the awesomness from the rest of the DT :)

i made a mini card (4x4) using my neglected cindy lou cartridge.

 

is this just an adorable little frame! i love love love the sweet little deer

for her eye i used a hole punch and added some white with my singo pen and added on some lashes too. the stems and heart flowers are from walk in my garden and the so dear cut is from create a critter.the grass was cut from zoobaloo.

the tiny butterflies are a MS punch. i used a little colorbox fluid chalk for shading.

happy monday! hope you had a terrific weekend. this week over at bbtb2 our lovely gal jeri has chosen our challenge, the 6 petal flower from BLOOM cartridge. i dont own this one and if you dont either its all good just use another 6 petal flower from any cart that has one. be sure to check out what the rest of the amazing dt have revealed for this fun challenge.

i used accent essentials for the flowers, cut 3 times each and layered, then added a pearl in centers.

                                        i used home decor for the branches and MS punch for the butterflies 

 beyond birthdays for thank you and ms punch for the border

on the inside ( which i havent totally finished) i added a sentiment stamp from stephanie from her whimsical fun vol 1 set (click her name to go grab ya some :) )

whimsical wednesday tag it challenge

happy wednesday :)  this weeks fun challenge over at WW is make a tag with some bling.  be sure to go check out the creative DT samples, that always helps greatly if youre challenged in any way. thank you ladies at WW!!!!
as you know im not a bling~ a ~ding kinda chick so that was the challenge part for me :)
so for my lil creation i made a tag using my cricut and tagsbagsboxes (scalloped tag),accent essentials (heart) and beyond birthdays (iloveyou) and jasmine (corners). i used regular and blackout or shadow features on the cuts).
the b/fly is a stamped image.
for the bling i added pink rhinestones and stickles (thistle, black diamond  ( heart and tag)and crystal(b/fly)
i also HAD to add some more  shabby to this, i think the black shadow already does that but i also distressed a lil eensie teeny tiny bit with blackbird colorbox fluid chalk. i also added a bit of black and pink ribbon. ill either add this to my daughters scrapbook or my fuzzypunk (kittycat) emilies' page. i sure love them both oodles! im a lucky mommy indeed.

happy monday :) this week  at BBTB2 our incredibly talented and ever so sweet donna has chosen our theme..the flying bird from the floral embellished cartridge. like me, if you dont own this cart dont fret.. just use another bird from another cart.

for my project i made a rustic type of ornament. i hang a few wreaths every christmas and embellish them with hand made items like this that i make.

i cut a piece of cardboard and colored with tim holtz distress stains (wild honey and vintage photo) i added distress stickles (wild honey and rock candy)  i then hand drew a tree branch on cardboard and cut it out. i colored it in with the distress stains (walnut and wild honey)  i then added martha stewart punch branches, and added liquid applique and heated. i pop dotted the branch and weaved thread through it. the birds i cut from beyond birthdays. ( i just snipped the branches from their beaks) the star i cut using george cartridge. i added 7 gypsies seam binding for the hanger and distressed the edges of the cardboard a bit. added color box fluid chalk. the joy stamp is one of those michales $bin goodies.  seriously this was really super easy to make, hope ive inspired you to make one :) let me know if you do id love to have a look on your take :)  thanks for stopping by my blog have a great day :) xxxshelly

it was really hard to get a good upclose of this to show the liquid applique and the little sparkle of the distress stickles.maybe try clicking the pic to enlarge it will help.

this week over at CCC  our theme is

              mothers day card, using the card feature from any cartridge AND  

                             add an image of a flower, from any cart.   

so..what i did was used a childs year heart for on the top of my card. (its the card feature on page 30. ) ill be honest i have no idea how to size these dang cuts to make an actual A2 card out of them.if you know..let me know please! ;)

for the flower i made carnations, my moms favorite flower.i used accent essentials accent 6. i cut 3 at 1 inch and 2 at 3/4 inches.crumple them up then unfold them. i used a piercer to make a hole through the centers, added a tiny brad to hold them together. then i took each layer starting from the top one, and twisted it, the second layer twisted around the first etc. then just played with them until i had the desired effect. it takes about a minute is all. i then added spun sugar distress stickles to them.

the vase and stems are from walk in my garden cart.mom is from beyond birthdays.

extras:colorbox fluid chalk,  liquid pearls,ms butterfly punch, SU cardstock and memorybox paper

happy friday! woohoo love the weekend! this week at PCC the challenge is make something for a teacher. so i made a card and altered a small gift bag. on the card i used my cricut and plantin school book cartridge for the apples and the A+ and teacher. paper is cosmo cricket ( thank you rose!) i also used an ek success punch. for the bag, (i filled up with apple chips, apple candy and apple tea bags) i used plantin for the apples and beyond birthdays cartridge for the thanks. thanks so much for stopping by today hope your weekend is sweet dont forget to stop on by the pcc blog t0 see the rest of the DTs samples and  play along with us . happy monday! i sure hope you had a fabulous mothers day! this week over at BBTB2  our theme is any tag from tagsbagsboxesandmore PLUS peggylovesvintage is our awesome sponsor. she so graciously has given the DT  a few images to work with. so be sure to go see what the rest of the dt has chosen and created for you. and be sure to head on over to peggys and pick up a few  vintage images shes got some great stuff!

i need to get a few fathers day cards made so was really excited to see this image as one of our choices. i printed the  seagull in the front  2 more times and layered them . hard to see in the  pic but in the real it gives the card a little depth. i used beyond birthdays for the word dad. so ...where are those tags....well i wanted a weathered look to the card so i crumpled up some su cardstock in barely banana ( love this color!) then added some colorbox fluid chalk ( creamy brown) . in the real it looks alot like leather which was cool because i thought it gave this a book sort of look..so i cut 3 tags from page 87 of the manual at 1 at 2~3/4 and  2 at1~1/4 inches.. i added 2 to the left side and one to the right center

i though this helped look more like an old seafarers log book. i added some colorbox fluid chalk  and then used a gold leaf pen on them. the larger one i added a brad . all cardstock is Stampin up.
