happy monday :) this week over at BBTB2 our super uber talented jayne has chosen our theme christmas in july. heres a way to get a jump start on your christmas cards or projects. be sure to go see what the rest of the dt has created for this fun challenge. thanks jayne! and be sure to play along with us we love it much when you do!

i decided to get a headstart on my cards. christmas cards are my favorite to make.
i used christmas noel for the trees and deer. i added liquid applique for the snow. the snowflakes are a marvy punch. i added rock cady distress stickles to them. i also inked the cuts with colorbox fluid chalk.

i also used rock candy on the star ( (shift cut from tree)  kinda hard to tell from the photo but its there.  the sentiment is from stephanies set ( link on my sidebar to whimsical wednesdays) called snow much fun. lots of cute sayings on this set so be sure to check them out.
thanks so much for stopping by today hope your week is off to a fun start. thank you a million for your sweet words too they always leave me with a smile :) happy crafting! xxxshelly

bittenbythebug2

happy monday :) this weeks challenge , window to my world, over at bbtb2 was chosen by one of our awesome newbies brenda. create a card or project using any window from any cart. at first i diidnt think i had a cart with one but of course after whining about it to carole and donna ;)  i found one. then also thought about other carts i own that have houses on them which of course have windows.duh me.
for my project i made a tag
i found this pretty window along with the tree cut on the christmas noel cartridge.
i inked it all up with colorbox fluid chalk then added liquid applique for snow. i have ti say once this dries it has a little brownish tinge to it which bothers me. do you have any other suggestions for snow? the snowflakes are a small marvy punch. i used my viva decor gel writer pen for a little sparkle.
i added some branches from a ms punch. the berries are viva decor pearl pen. i love viva decor products. these pearls pens are da' bomb! they do not run or flatten like other brands of  liquid pearls. the sentiment is a stamp from stephanie at whimsical designs ( link on my side bar) snow much fun set. really great stamps.

thanks so much for stopping by hope your week is off to a super start :) and thank you for your sweet words they always leave me with a smile :) thank you for that :) xxxshelly

Cricut Cardz Challenge

happy wednesday!!  Woo Hoo TOOT TOOT YAY ME!!!   i was chosen to be on a fabulous new challenge site called cricut cardz challenge !
this is where we use our cricut to the max! i love my cricut and have so much fun using it so im super super excited to be able to hopefully inspire YOU  to use yours to its max also :)  be sure to stop by and play along every wednesday i think you're really going to enjoy this. We can all learn something from each other :)
for my first card i used my brand new christmas noel cartridge.
for the shelf  i used the shelf /bracket (row 4) i used my design studio regular cut then flipped the image welding them together to make one long shelf. if you dont have ds dont worry just do the cut like i did  glue them together . to hide where the ends meet just add a ribbon or leafy branch.
i also i used the noel  blocks (row 3 and oh look i forgot to add some lines to distinguish between each block..  oh well i'll do that later :)
candles from  in row 4. i added liquid applique to them for dripping wax look. and used a gold leafing pen on the holders for an old tarnished look.
the ribbon is from row3  it cuts 2 i used 1 of them which i added to the branches  that is a  martha stewart punch. added kaiser kraft pearls for berries.
i also used jasmine  cartridge for the corners.
my other extras are colorbox fluid chalk and foam dimensionals..neither i could live without! :)
thanks so much for stopping by for a peek! make sure you stop on by check us out and play along! have a fun day!  shelly
