cardztv anything goes challenge #5

happy friday! i hope the week was good to you :) it's time again for our anything goes challenge at cardztv. have you checked out the rest of the DT's awesome projects? ah~mazing as always! be sure to play along with us we really love when you do! did you know when you do that you have a chance of winning one of marys awesome stamp sets? well, i ain't kidding! show us what ya got!
for my project this week i played with rocks and ladybugs :)
i have a sweet love for ladybugs not just because theyre fabulously adorable but its what my dad used to call me from the time i was a little kid up until he passed away in 2010.
so... heres my lil quickie project

i hot glued some river stones, tucked in some moss and dried flowers and hot glued on the sweet lil ladys. in the pic you can see the glue, i know.. in the real you can't.

i added "paint the town red" using a stamp from the stamp set "good times". i tried stamping directly on the rock but the ones i have are not flat enough to i stamped on white printer paper then used pumice stone distress ink after i stamped the saying. i wanted it to look like the rock. i used modge podge to adhere it.
see, all easy peasy yet i think pretty cute :) i think it would be neat to give as a bday present or just a girls night out gifty.

here's the stamp set i used. there's a bunch of nifty sayings with this.

you can purchase it ~> here<~~

thanks so much for the visit, your sweet comments always make me smile. thank you for that too :) don't forget to add your creation over at cardztv! happy crafting, shelly

cardztv anything goes challenge

happy friday! time again for our anything goes challenge over at cardztv. have you checked out the awesome projects from the rest of the design team .ah~mazing stuff for sure! be sure to play along with us we love when you do plus yo have a chance to win one of marys awesome stamp sets! how cool is that!

so here's what i made ..well ok bought and glued;)

i love making these lil "scenescapes".
i picked up these pieces at hobby lobby. they have these unfinished wood squares, i just cover it with sticky backed moss. if you cant find that just use a glue gun.

isnt that wagon wheel cute. i found some itsy bitsy bunnies too. and of course always have to add  ladybug ;)  i used unfinished wood findings for the mushrooms. i color them with my bic mark its and use acrylic paint for the dots.

one of the packaged mosses has some dirt clods, i put some hot glue into the wheelbarrow then set the moss , moss side down, into it so i have dirt :)

i used a wood spool and other wood finding to create the birdbath base. i filled a bottle cap with dimensional mod podge and added alcohol ink (stream).

and of course added a cardztv stamp from the retired set think spring.
you can pick up other really cool sets of stamps ~>here<~

thats it..easy peasy fun lil project.

thanks so much for stopping by your sweet comments always make me smile thank you for that too! happy crafting! shelly

i have a hard time knitting  i can crochet fine but for some reason just cant keep my tension consistent in knitting. i was searching the net for hints and came across loom knitting. i clicked on the link to loomahat.com and denise has had me hooked ever since! she has utube tutorials that get you through an entire project step by step. her itty bitty kitties are my favorite. heres my take on hers. for some of the tails i used a spool.

this one i used pipsqueak yarn. i used black for the tip of the tail. i didnt like how that turned out and fixed it with a thinner yarn. sorry i forgot to rephoto that.

thanks for stopping by and checking out these adorable itty bittys :)

cardztv

happy friday! it's time for our anything goes challenge at cardztv. as usual my dt sisters have created some magic :) if you haven't yet, be sure to check out their projects and be sure to play along with us we love when you do plus you have a chance to win a cardztv stamp set. marys so sweet and generous!

for my project i crocheted a cute little bunny. i got the pattern from knot your nanas crochet ~> here

i added some soft yarn for the inside of the ears instead of the way the original pattern did. i just ran it up and down the ear with an embroidery needle.
i made a carrot from a pipecleaner.

and made a pompom for a tail.

i made a lil note card using a stamp from the easter punnies set.
this is a super cute set! marys so clever :)  you can pick this fun set up ~>here <~

thank you for the visit  and thank you for your kind words they really make me smile :) now go get your crafty groove on and link up at cardztv. show us what ya got! have a great rest of day XXXshelly

cardztv

here was a cute itty bitty kitty i knitted for cardztv challenge from feb 3rd. for some reason my blog posts were'nt publishing. i got this pattern from loomahat. im new to loom knitting which i love! i can crochet pretty good but for some reason have a hard time with the tension with knitting using needles. if you have this issue try a loom and i adore densise over at loomahat. theres step by step video tutorial for this project plus others. theres also utube vids from others, i just learned from denises vids and im loyal :)

i think this would be cute for a kitty adoption

just look at this cute little face..arent you in love! i am ;)

side view
i took an unfinished wood heart shape and painted it with a grey color and let it dry. then i took some petroleum jelly and put it where you see the grey color. covered the entire heart with a purple paint. let that dry then wiped over the entire heart with a paper towel. the p/jelly resists the top coat. nifty technique :) i then stamped my saying using the "love ya"set. i left a space where you could add in kittys name and adoption date.

you can purchase this great stamp set ~>here<~

thanks so much for checking out my blog, your sweet words are much appreciated! have a great rest of day and happy crafting! XXXshelly
