bittenbythebug2 card feature challenge

happy monday :) this week over at BBTB2 sweet brenda has chosen our challenge, to use the card feature from any cartridge. be sure to check out the fun cards/projects the rest of the dt has sampled and be sure to play along this week we love when you do!

for this card i used paperpups. this is the first time i actually used the card feature from this cart. i know theres a little confusion on how to get the background or layered cuts since there is actually no layers on the cart. its way easier than the tutorials ive seen that tell you to use real dial size etc.
for this particular card i just cut the card at 5 1/2 inches. then i cut again using ivory colored cardstock. i didnt let my cricut cut the entire card though. the center window and dog are the first things that cut so when my cricky cut that i hit the stop button. so of course that gives me the dog face and arm/body. i took my b/g paper (cut at 3X3) and adhered it to the inside of the card and then glued those "spare parts" onto the front, in the silhoutte of the dog. does that make sense?im a visual gal and not a very good explainer in writing, sorry about that. if you use this cart it makes sense once you do the cuts ;)  to make the pups eyes black i just used a little hole punch then glued them on the underside before adhering to the b/g paper. the corners i used are sizzex, then i added a couple of buttons. i wasnt sure if i really liked this one, but the more it sits the more it grows on me.

happy wednesday :) this weeks challenge over at CCC is to make an S~fold card with a halloween theme.  mary has a tutorial on thecardztv blog if youre unsure how to make an s fold. super easy :)  be sure to check out the scary fun cards the DT has made and be sure to play along with us we love when you do :) 

i used paperdolls for my cuts except for the witch shes a martha stewart punch. 

heres the card opened up. the fab paper is memorybox. i inked al my cuts using colorbox fluid chalk.

i glued googly eyes to the tree. the cat is a martha stewart punch

i used paperpups for the boo!

and the sentiment is a stamp from just right stamps.

bbtb2 vacation challenge

happy monday! this week over at the bittenbythebug2  our super creative and sweet as sugar carole has chosen our theme, vacation. 

im entering this into a couple of card challenges too
craftycatz whos theme is animal
and dutch dare challenges whos theme is furry friends..and you all know i LOVE my sweet kitty geddy:)  so these were fun challenges for sure :)
and DLART whos having an awesome linky party this entire month. 

at first i was perplexed how do i make a card fitting these themes.  so i made a cut of the rv from going places and went from there..

uh oh!... looks like someone forgot daisy (paper pups) at the rest stop.
it doesnt look like kitty kitty  (animal kingdom)is anxious to tell anyone ;)

run daisy run!!!!  looks like shes the one on the road trip . poor pup.

happy monday! hope you had a fun weekend :) 
our sweet fun gal jeri has chosen our theme at the bug2 .  a hot air balloon OR if you dont have one (like me) use an airplane from any cartridge. 
be sure to check out the fab projects from the rest of the dt and be sure to play along we love when you do that..we also love it best when you play by the rules. so be sure the main cut for each theme is cricut ok :)  

like i mentioned i dont own a cart with a hot air balloon so i used an airplane instead

all of the cuts are from the paper pups cartridge. 

i used a bit of color box fluid chalk and a couple foam poppity things for a little oomph. 

i computer generated the saying.

fantabulous cricut challenge

happy sunday! its been forever since ive played in any challenges . one of my fave places to play along and get inspired is over at FCC. this week their theme is sunny days . make a card or project using a sun. 

i made a simple birthday card.

i used paperpups cartridge for all the cuts (sun, dog and clouds). isn't this little pup with his ducky ring the cutest :)

happy wednesday :) this week~> rose <~ picked out our sketch for our friendly mojovating sketch challenge. i bet she thought she had me fretting on this one since it took me longer than usual to get 'er done.. sorry friend i was just getting the last bit of my dt stuff done for this month :) 

for this lil card i used errie paper by basic grey, the spider web i used my cricut and paper dolls cart. i added cotton to it to give it a bit of webby creepy look. the spider is cuttlebug.i added TCBE ( the cutest boy ever ,tim holtz) distress stickles~fired brick. the heart in the web is from the paper pups cart. used colorbox fluid chalk on this too. thats it  easy peasy but eerily fun eh :) thanks for hanging on the web with me.. yea i know har~dee~ har har aint i punny ;) have a fun rest of day :) xxxshelly

happy tuesday! this week over at TMS melissa has designed another awesome sketch for her DT . She chose me to be Guest Designer for the month of october   (how lucky am I!!! im so extremely flattered!) ...my fave month not only because its my birthday month  but the first day of autumn falls in this glorious month.. my favorite season.
for this card i used my cricut and paper dolls cartridge (ghosts bats and spiders) and paperpups cartridge (boo). i used my cuttlebug and haunted house folder   for the haunted house which i sanded. added stickles in the windows and on the word boo. i also used a little bit of colorbox fluid chalk for some shading. paper is recollections. thanks so much for looking and commenting :) have a wonderful day :) shelly

happy Monday! its the end of one hot month here in california and what a fun way to end it with a BLOG HOP with regina and some of the other DT ladies over at BBTB ! you probably just arrived here from ivys place...what a talented lady is she eh! good luck in her giveaway..

2sketches4you 33 and papercutz4

happy tuesday :) this was done for 2 challenges, one being the cute cute sketch from kazan over at 2sketches the other challenge from PC the theme being halloween BUT no orange or black...whaaaaaat????! lol you galz thought you had me on this one eh! ok ok you did because everytime i chose a color..i matched black to it..grrr! lol oh i loved the challenge :)
for my take i used my cricut and george(oval), minimonograms(scalloped square), paperdolls (ghosts,spider),paperpups (boo) and pooh and friends (witch hat) cartridges. the sweet lil bear is a GoKreate die (binkie boo). the corners are sizzix. paper is by crate.
finishing touches, acrylic paint (dots) and colorbox fluid chalk. thanks so much for hanging a bit here with me and kazan and p/cutz thanks for the challenge fun this week :)

happy wednesday :) this is for this weeks sketch challenge over at TMS and CC who theme is travel.
for this i used my cricut and paperpups(poodle) and paperdolls(car) cartridges. the text is made using surecutsalot. paper is making memories. i added stickles and rhinestones and pink pearls for some bling that a girl on the go has just gottsa have :) dont ya just love her smugness.. she definetly has a spine/backbone eh! all us ladies should have that!
