cardztv designer gallery

happy monday! it's my turn to showcase a project over at cardztv designer gallery. everyday we have something fresh from a different design team lady. it could be anything so be sure to pop on over and check out the awesomness.
today i have 2 quick projects for you . i hope you like them .
first is an altered bag. i made enough for everyone who will be attenting thanksgiving dinner with us . they will be filled with candies and nuts and a little note expressing why i'm thankful/grateful for them
i used die cuts for the leaves and inked them up. although i didnt do it on these leaves a nifty tip to give them veins and texture, run them through your embossing machine with a spider web folder.

i added a button ( underneath the fold i added a glue dot to keep the bag shut) i then added some floral stuff, for the berries on the branch i alcohol inked up some white pearls then hot glued them onto the branch. i tied the bunch together and glued it to the bag.

for the faux stitching i used a stamp from the "basic borders" set and the sentiment is from the "count your blessings set. ill set ya up with a link of where to pick this set plus all the others at the end of my post.

my next project is a christmas card.
i used one of my embossing folders and a snowflake diecut.i added some rhinestones. the sentiment and blue stamped snowflakes are from the stamp set "naughty or nice"

i covered this with packing paper then painted that white then added some brown . after that dried i scuffed it up. i then added some frou frou to it.

i then added this stamp. its from the stamp set "just sayin" this awesome set plus tons of others can be purchased ~>here . youre welcome in advance :)

here's the card i made
the flowers were made just by layering different sized circles. i used a distressing tool along the edges then inked them. ( i used spun sugar distessing ink ) i then added brads to the centers.

for the sweet sentiment i used a stamp from the "think" spring set.

moss ball topiary

happy wednesday :) my daughter gave me some moss balls to play around with . heres what i did with one of them.

i made a moss topiary/fairy house
first i took a can and covered it in moss. it came in a sheet that i cut a little bigger than the size of can. after hot gluing it on i cut off the excess with scissors. i glued a coaster to the bottom so i could decorate the front door area with moss, mushrooms and stones. for the branch i painted a dowel and shoved it into the ball :) i also took some branch stuff and poked one end into ball and wrapped it around then pushed the other end into the ball. i used 3 or 4 pieces of branch stuff . you could get more bendable stuff from your craft store . i just try to  use what i have in my stash before spending more money.

i added some flowers, twigs and flowersoft to the moss ball and the moss covered can. for the door and windows i just colored pieces of unfinished wood with bic mark~it markers. then adhered with hot glue.

for the mushrooms i again used markers and then dotted with acrylic paint. the wood pieces can be found at hobby lobby.

thanks so much for checking out my fun lil project. it only took about 1/2 hour to do and it would make a great gift if youre interested in trying this. have a great day xxxshelly

cardztv gallery

happy tuesday! today is my day to showcase a project for cardz tv gallery . ive been on a huge altering terra cotta planter kick the past few months. i'm sure pinterest is to blame ;) i hope you enjoy what i made.

i painted a small planter pink ( i wasnt in a hobby lobby run mood so i mixed white and red to make my desired color). i sanded here and there for that shabby look i like. i turned the pot upside down then hot glued the saucer atop that. my intention was to make a lil bird bath decoration out of this, but my kitten bebop (her pic is on my side bar) decided to eat the only brown birdie  i had ( decorative of course! ) and i still wasn't in the mood for that hobby lobby run. so... i decided a candlescape would be pretty.

i added some flowers

and some pearls. i made a paper band for the candle, adding ink and pearls and this fabulous lil sentiment using a stamp from the "simply said" set.

you can easily purchase this and lots of other of marys fabulous stamps ~>here . you're welcome in advance :)
thanks a million for visiting my blog. you're comments always make me smile, thank you for that too! have a fun crafty day! XXXshelly

happy thursday! well it's been forever and a day since i posted anything here. did ya miss me? lol.  took a little summer break from cardztv , now its time to start fresh :)
i made a  simple little gift for a sweet friend of mine who's always there when needed, without having to ask. i am truly blessed. i don't take that for granted. ever.

this is one of those 5 minute (less paint drying and heat gun heat up time)  projects, but my heart went into it big time!

i painted a little terra cotta pot. added some moss and a smidge of  plant frou fou. the roses on the branches are actually from the spice isle ( my daughter picked them up for me i'm not sure where) i hot glued them (and my finger..ouchie!) to a branch.

added some cute lil birdies and used a stamp from the count your blessings set

i stamped the hearts onto some cotton ribbon using the new basic borders stamp set. then hot glued that around the pot. oh, i noticed that glue on the ribbon too, it has since been removed ;)
i think this turned out pretty dang cute :) i'm going to get her a cupcake, her once a day diet splurge to give with this.
you can pick up the sets of stamps i used plus lots of others here ~>cardztvstamps
