happy monday ! what better way to start a monday than with some blog hoppin fun! the order of the hop and other info will be posted under my card.

this week our amazingly artistic and wonderfully sweet  carole  is our hostess and she chose the birdhouse from  stretch your imagination. i do own the cart but got a lil confused in our DT post , thought we needed a different cart i dont own... anyways i made this in advance and knew the ladies wouldnt mind if i didnt start over :)  .....so i used cindyloo cartridge for the birdhouse plus the swirl and flowers.  and for the birds ( i snipped off the boy birdies hat) and heart corners  i used sweethearts cartridge.i added colorbox fluid chalk,  and a heart pearl  my beautiful paper is memorybox.

happy friday :) this week over at PCC  our awesome ringleader mary has chosen our theme to be spring.. YAY for spring :)  be sure to hop on over to the PCC blog to see what lovely spring themed projects the rest of the DT has for us :) be sure to play along too. 

im not a stamper  by nature altho i do own quite a few stamps,  but got these cute cute stamps from SU with their celebration thingy going on. i think these stamps are just adorable as ever :) my cricut machine sat scowling at me so i used it with jasmine cartridge for the corners. i colored the stamps in with prismas, no gamsol just blended the colors with some blending stubs if you know me you know im not about perfection, just about achieving the look i like, which is somewhat messy :) the pretty paper and cardstock  are SU. i added a little colorbox fluid chalk. thanks so much for hangin here, have a marvelous weekend :) xxxshelly

card patterns

happy thursday :) this is for this weeks sketch challenge over at CP. theyre also having a blog hop but ya better hurry that ends tomorrow  :)

for this card i used a punch for circles and cuttlebug for the elephant and heart. i used pop dots under these two.  for the corners i cut a circle then 1/4th it. added pearls,  a crocheted flower and button and colorbox fluid chalk. the stamped image is from 40:31 creations clear stamps by lauren davila . i used su pixie pink. paper/cardstock are dasiy ds and SU. thanks so much for stopping by hope your day has been a great one. xxxshelly

tueaday morning sketches and papercraftstar

happy wednesday :) this week over at TMS and PCS their sketches are alike so im killing two birds with one stone ( rest assured no real birdies were harmed during this ;) ) be sure to go check them out.

i used a memorybox stamp, bramble wreath (E1276) which i added distress stickles (crushed olive, bundled sage, forest moss and wild honey) and adirondac liquid pearls (wild plum) to. the corners and  the butterfly ( which i added distress stickles, victorian velvet) are MS punch . paper is DCWV (rustic). i also used my cricut and george cart for the thanks. hope your week has been good so far thank you for stopping by :) XXXshelly 

a crafty little place

happy tuesday :) this weeks challenge over at ACLP is a recipe . fun fun :)

the recipe is: 1 tag ~obviously i made a tag ;)

                       2 buttons~the bees are buttons

                       1 sticker the flower is a sticker~ i forget by who as i ripped the logo off.

                       and ribbon ~ by seven gypsies

i  used my cricut and george ( tag)  and walk in my garden (for you) cartridges 

the  shadow base for the tag is SU (peach parfait) and the regular cut tag is  from DCWV rustic

this will go on my daughters birthday present.

the kraft journal

happy tuesday :) this week over at TKJ their theme is bling.

i made a card for my mom who will be turning 70 in march.

for this card i used kraft cardstock purchased from thekraftoutlet ( you can access that thru their blog or my sidebar). the twill ribbon was also purchased from there, i added stickles frosted last to it and a little colorbox fluid chalk. paper is DCWV, the flowers and beautiful butterfly,which i also added frosted lace stickles to,  were cut from that paper. i  added 3 rhinestones in the corner. so easy i know but i also know my mom will really love this. thanks so much for stopping by hope youre having a wonderful day :) xxxshelly

BBTB2 fishing boy challenge

Happy monday :) this week im hosting over at BBTB2 and ive chosen to use the fishing boy from a childs year cartridge. be sure to pop on over to the blog and see what the rest of the DT has hooked up for us.

also be sure to share your creations with us if you dont own the cart its all good just use any fish from any other cartridge. just have fun!

i made a 6X6 album for someone i wont show every page , just a couple.. 

along with the boy cut, i used pooh and friends (frame) and graphically speaking (memories) the fish and gone fishin are jolees stickers.

for this page i used a kraft bag purchased from thekraftoutlet  and the cutest worms are a stamp from creativevisionsclearstamps (fishing set) . the fish and pole are jolees.

and the last page ill show you , i used a wax bag from kraftoutlet. i added  in some real fish hooks and some little round metal thingys, i think anchors or sinkers...? oh i dont know i found them in the tackle box ;) and some fishing line. i tied this shut with twine and cotton ribbon  purchased from the kraftoutlet. also added some jolees stickers. tackle box is a stamp also from the creativevisions fishing set.

paper is core'dinations, SU and crate. i also used colorbox fluid chalk..big surprise for ya there eh;) lol

happy friday!! this week over at PCC mary has chosen our theme to be a childs birthday using a country/western theme.  be sure to hop along over to the pcc blog and check out the rest of the DTS projects. 

i altered a small gift bag using my cricut and a childs year cartridge. theres a card option on the cartridge i made a mini b/day card folded it measures 2 inches. for the handles on the bag i used hemp twine. added colorbox fluid chalk.. oh yeah like thats a huge surprise from me eh ;) if you know my work you know i use it on everything. its a must have!! so.. be sure to play along with us this week.. im kid card challenged so id love to have some cute stuff to scraplift :) thanks in advance for that lol :)  hope ya have a super fun weekend. thank you so much for stoppin by and visiting me. cute card thursday

happy thursday :) this weeks theme at CCC is something shiny. i used brads on my card. i also used my cricut and paper dolls cartridge for the cowboy, george cart for the stars ( the one on theright is actually a negative cut) cuttebug for the horse. the stamp is clearvisions ( link on my side bar) added colorbox fluid chalk, SU in brilliant blue and some hemp/twine. not my best card but trying to fix my cards for kids troubles :) thanks for checking this one out..any suggestions would be appreciated :) have a great rest of day :) xxxshelly

happy wednesday again :) after mentioning im kid card challenged in the last post, im on a roll ;) 

this week over at PCS they have a sketch challenge going on. i really enjoy sketch challenges. for my entry i used

my cricut and pooh and friends cart for my fave pooh character, tigger :) how could you NOT love that face!i love the silhouttes on this cart, no paper piecing. now i do like to do that, but some of the cuts are just too small for card making thus frustrating me at times. i hate to be frustrated :) plus this only took me 5 minutes tops to make. i added a couple of cloud9 raindots and colorbox fluid chalk. paper is my minds eye. thats it but oh so cute dontcha think? :)  thanks for checking tig out, have a great rest of day :) xxxshelly

a crafty little place

happy wednesday :) this week over at ACLP the theme is about a boy. you all know by now im kid card challenged and worse yet, boy card challenged. im a daycare provider youd think this would be a breeze for me eh. so.. i made 2 cards for ya to see  oh lucky you ;) 

 for the one on  the right  i used my cricut and pooh and friends cartridge  except the water which i used going places cartridge.

i added color box fluid chalk  paper is my minds eye. 

for the  card on the left  which is my favorite of the two i used joys of the season cartridge for the sweet lil bear. i didnt use any of the layer features just cut on buff or ivory colored cardstock and inked on the brown color with color box fluid chalk i also did the same with the circle.   not the best pictures as  its overcast and raining here today sorry bout that .
i added a bit of hand~sewing to one panel, buttons and twill ribbon.paper is my minds eye. thanks so much for stopping by the blog hope you like the cards:) have a great rest of day :) xxxshelly

happy wednesday :) well at least i hope it is :) this week over at CCC the lovely as ever jeri has chosen our theme to be a cup of cheer. now who couldnt use that every day :) i know i sure could, even if the day is going fabulous a little extra does ya good :)be sure to skedaddle on over to see the rest of the dt cards and play along, lets see how your cup runneth over :) (yeah i know ive gotten quite cheesy here)

for my card i used Joys of the season for the teacup and from my kitchen for the spoon. i hand cut a little teabag from a bit of cardstock and inked it with colorbox fluid chalk. for the sugar cubes i just used itsy bitsy foam dots and left the shiny side of the paper on it, then added stickles for sugary sweet glimmer. the round stamp is from creative clearvisions stamps..theres a link on my side bar laura has some awesome stamps that stamp out perfectly every time :)

happy monday/valentines day .

this week over at TKJ their theme is  it's hip to be square.

i made a baby card using my cricut and doodlecharms cartridge for the duck, i added a crocheted butterfly and a crocheted flower which i added 7 gypsies seam binding tape (from adelaide collection)  which i purchased at the kraft outlet ( you can get there from the tkj blog :) to the center of.i also added a couple of buttons and pearl hearts.to the inside i added a sizzex elephant die cut which i added a pearl heart to.i just love that lil elephant :) . my cardstock is kraft purchased from tho . for the sentiment panel i used buff colored cardstock  which also can be purchased from tko. paper is tim holtz. added a bit of colorbox fluid chalk in my fave distressing color, chestnut roan.thanks so much for taking the time to look :) have a great day.xxxshelly

BBTB2 hearts border

happy monday :) hope the day has been good to ya so far :) 
this week over at BBTB2 susan has chosen our challenge, to use the hearts border from Martha Stewart seasonal cakes cartridge.
i dont own this one so i used doodle charms instead. i actually used the negative cut  used colorbox fluisd chalk to color  ivory paper (  i adhered the regular cut to the inside of the card. never waste those cuts!) i also used jasmine cart for the corners again just cut in ivory cardstock and inked up , added pearls and pearl hearts and a pearl heart pin and prima flowers with a little ribbon tucked behind.

happy saturday. i made this for a  sketch challenge over at PCS. this challenge actually ended before i could get it entered but.. go ahead and check out the blog :) they also had a tutorial on how to make perfect round piercings and faux stitching using plastic canvas. i use this technique every time weather faux or actual hand stitching and it works like a charm. for my card i opted for real stitching.

i used my cricut  and mini monograms ( scallop and circle) and cindyloo (flourishes flowers and thank you ) cartridges.

i added colorbox fluid chalk (chestnut roan and berryliscious) ,pearls and MS punch butterfly which i added diamond stickles to..paper is SU (certainly celery) and memory box. have a great rest of day :) and thank you for stopping by for a visit:) xxxshelly

for my card i used my cricut and pooh and friends branch/hive and bees i adore these bees, notice their wings are heart shaped :)  and love struck for the sweetie and create a critter for the cute cute birdie. i stamped on butterflies in SU  pixie pink then added a little stickles to them. added cloud9 raindots for honey droplets. paper is crate.

for my card i went with masculine in mind.  i used my cuttlebug and hearts folder on the blue strip and the i love you is also a small cuttlebug folder. i added su white ink, a little colorbox fluid chalk and  buttons I i made the brownish one from a tiny circle punch. thats it. simple yet effective right ? :)

The Kraft Journal AND Fantabulous cricut challenge blog

 monday :)  this weeks challenge/theme over at TKJ is love. AND ovet at FCCB theyre having a fantastic crawl their theme is using the word love. for my submission i made 2 tags using kraft paper purchased from tkj.

i used my cricut and tags bags boxes and more cartridge for the tags, cutting once regular cut and shadow cut..(you can purchase tags from the tkj store if needed). i distressed and added colorbox fluid chalk   to them.

for the first tag, i used sweethearts cartridge for all the cuts.

for the heart, i used indie art cartridge,  making  a stencil using the negative cut. i then used alchohol inks  to color it in ( cranberry, lettuce pearl and gold). then added pearl accents. i also added some lace. 

for the 2nd tag , i used a negative cut from sweethearts cartridge and backed that with lighter pink paper. .added a pearl to the center and along the sides. i doodles some and also added stickles to the petals.

the butterfly  is a MS punch which i used kraft paper from the kraft outlet i embossed it with a small cuttlebug folder and used colorbox fluid chalk and stickles on it

simple tags but i think they turned out pretty.
