mothers day card, using the card feature from any cartridge AND
add an image of a flower, from any cart.
so..what i did was used a childs year heart for on the top of my card. (its the card feature on page 30. ) ill be honest i have no idea how to size these dang cuts to make an actual A2 card out of them.if you know..let me know please! ;)
for the flower i made carnations, my moms favorite flower.i used accent essentials accent 6. i cut 3 at 1 inch and 2 at 3/4 inches.crumple them up then unfold them. i used a piercer to make a hole through the centers, added a tiny brad to hold them together. then i took each layer starting from the top one, and twisted it, the second layer twisted around the first etc. then just played with them until i had the desired effect. it takes about a minute is all. i then added spun sugar distress stickles to them.
the vase and stems are from walk in my garden cart.mom is from beyond birthdays.
extras:colorbox fluid chalk, liquid pearls,ms butterfly punch, SU cardstock and memorybox paper

cricutcardzchallenges #70
happy wednesday! :) this week over at PCC jeri has chosen for us to use a cupcake holder or wrapper from any cart. be sure to check out the rest of the DTs yummy creations :)
i have veeeeeery severe food allergies and cannot eat cakes etc...so i wanted to use the cut on something useful for me :) instead of using my cupcake holder/wrapper on a cupcake , which by the way i got from the cindy loo cartridge, i used it as a border :) i just cut off the tabs on the end to fit the card i made. i also cut the birds from the regular bird cut from that cart and adhered them over the wrapper image.the pink heart was cut from c/loo cart and i believe the blue one was cut from lovestruck.
its a little..ok ok A LOT cheesy but i wanted to keep this fun too ;)
the extras on my card include include t/holtz distress inks and cloud9 raindot hearts. paper is t/holtz. cardstock is SU (expresso.)
thanks so much for stoppin by as always your comments make me smile :) have a great rest of day :) xxxshelly

cricutcardzchallenges blog hop!!!!!!
happy wednesday!! and welcome to CCC bloghop..hope youre having as much fun as we are! theres lots of awesome prizes to be won on the CCC blog and some of the dt are giving away prizes on their blogs too. for my blog candy give away i will choose one random winner to win a $10.00 gift certificate to the online store or digi shop of your choice. i will pick my winner on friday :) good luck!
if youve come from our awesome michelles place then your headed in the right direction :) i'll let ya know where to go from here at the end of my post :)
for my project i made candy holders..these are super quick and easy!
just take an 8~1/2X11 inch piece of cardstock. on the long side cut at 2 ~3/4 inches.. youll get 4 with 1 piece of cardstock.
again the long way score at 1, 4~1/2 and 5 inches. fold along the score lines.
thats it, told ya it was easy! just add some candy to a little bag and tuck it inside. i used glue dots and adhered my bags and used velcro coins for the flaps. but you can punch some holes and attach with ribbon or just staple them . make sure the top of your candy bag is at the top of the flap if you choose to keep them closed either of these ways.
just decorate the front any way you like, of course doing this before adding the goodie bag :)
i used SU cardstock (pretty in pink, certainly celery and daffodil delight) and SU stamp and papers and colorbox fluid chalk and foam dimensionals on each of these.
cricut cartridges used : paperdolls (bunny) doodlecharms (eggs) and zoobaloo (grass)
extras include hero arts heart pearl (nose) ek success scallop punch, ribbon, glassine bag and acrylic paint
for this one i used doodle charms/ border feature
extras: liquid pearls (noses) tim holtz distress ink in spun sugar (bunny ears)
and for the last one
cricut cartridges used: create a critter (chick and cracked egg) and doodle charms (extra eggs)
extras on this are grass i hand cut and inked, acrylic paint (on eggs) a button and paper raffia ribbon
now head on over to the fabulous julies blog and see what she has created for us.
