PaperCutz Star Spangled Banner Blog Hop

                                                                      happy friday!!!!

i sure hope youre having a blast on our very first blog hop over at PCC!!!   and i hope youre playing along as mary and some of us have fun blog candy to share.
if youve come from our lovely denitras place then youre headed in the right direction. what a fab project she created eh!  if ya got lost along the way head on back to PCC and you'll easily find your way again :)
for our lil hop here  were to make a banner using lots of bling.. well if you know my work you know im not a banner or blingy type of gal..BUT what's lots of bling to one may not be to another :) so i really did try hard on this one :)  im definetly glitzy bling challenged. hope you join in with a project and show off your glitzy 4th of july banners i'll be looking ! :)
i'll also be giving away a $10.00 gift certificate to any online store (this includes digital stamp store) of ONE randomly picked commenter here on my blog. If you dont have a blog  or cant leave a comment here just blow me an email (branmuffinsmom@yahoo.com) and in the subject line write PCC bling comment . easy easy :)
heres what i did to make my banner...

i cut cardboard to the size i wanted then turned on my cricut machine oooh aint i just the talented one lol
for the first banner

i used
graphically speaking (fourth of july),george ( large star) and a childs year (flags and child silhouette and tiny stars) cartridges. i added crystal stickles all over.
for the 2nd banner part

i used
george (stars) wildcard( celebrate)cartridges.
i used SU dazzlin diamonds ( what a mess!) on the stars.
i just hand drew the claender on a piece of cardstock and musse dit up with tim holtz distress stains and a sharpie. added the star on the 4th with a foam stickie and glitzed it up with gold stickles
for the 3rd banner part

i used
george (usa and star) and  going places ( america silhouette) cartridges.
 i added stickles and rhinestones
way too much glitzy for me but it was so fun to be challenged! thanks mary!:)

so dont forget to leave a much appreciated lovely ( or not , i prefer honest! ) comment then head on over to sweet kristies blog and see what super banner shes showing off for us.
thanks so much for hanging out here with me now go have some blog hoppin fun! oh and good luck to everyone! xxxshelly

I was pretty excited when I saw your project because you used my favorite cartridge - A Child's Year. I'm always looking for more ideas and you gave me a few....:O) I love the 'old-fashion' look you gave your banner - makes it look antique in a way. Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed your blog.
