bbtb2 tree challenge

happy monday! this week over at BBTB2 our UBER creative and lovely AND one of my very favorite designers jayne has chosen our theme. using a tree from any cartridge. make sure to check out the rest of the DT samples and be sure to play along with us we love when you do. just make sure to follow our easy rules, make sure your main image is a cricut cut. and please if you have word verification on to turn it off. my computer doesnt recognize the letters most of the time so i cant comment on your beautiful projects:(     thanks!!!
instead of a card this week i thought id try this nifty little gift/book box. you can google and find directions for this  but i happened upon ~~> this tutorial<~~ and found it very easy to follow.
im entering this over at DLART where the sweet diana is having a fun linky party all this month. im sure shed love for you to play along too.

i made this for my daughter who loves to read and write and loves bats. (she has one tattooed behind her ear)

i used stretch your imagination for the trees.
my daughter actually named the book not knowing its for her or really what i was talking about . its from a song by her favorite band ( the cure)
heres the "book" opened. i added lace/ribbon along the edges.

heres a couple more views to show how i  just glued the trees and bat (cuttlebug) into the folds

and to keep it closed i used some beautiful burgundy crinkle ribbon
thanks so much for stopping by for a visit your sweet words always make me smile thank you for that :) happy crafting!xxxshelly
