all about halloween for cardztv designer gallery

happy wednesday :) it's my day again to post over at cardztvgallery. in case you don't know theres a different post from a different design team member with a different project of our own choice every day. so be sure to check it out every single day! also a reminder all the stamps i use (unless otherwise noted) are from mary at cardztv..you can check them out and purchase them ~>HERE<~
as usual my post is going to be picture heavy so have that pot of coffee made and your snacks handy :) my design team sistas inspire and motivate me so much i sometimes just cant stop creating!
ok are you ready....
project 1

a fridge magnet.
i inked up a coaster  trying to make it look like a moon ,added some cuttlebug die bats, a witch from a martha punch and a glass star and of course magnets to the back. easy peasy :)

before i added the embellies i stamped the saying using cardztv "trick or treat" set.

 project 2

an altered prima flower bottle

i added some vinyl spider webs and spidies

i used a sharpie and drew some web strings. cant have the spiders just floatin there ;)

i found these printables somewhere on the web. sorry i cant credit where they came from ( it also included pumpkins) but they were downloaded onto my old computer which has since crashed and burned. thankfully i printed out a few pages of these before that happened.
i used the "trick or treat" stamp set for the saying AND the cute lil candy corns. i colored them in with bic mark its then covered them over with some dimensional mod podge . i inked up the tag with tim holtz distress inks. and added some twine to hold that puppy on :)

project 3
a candy topper

i just cut paper to fit over the top of the mini bag.cut the hair by hand add googly eyes hand drew mouth and fangs. then i used acrylic paint for the pearly whites. added candy corn and closed with a staple.
i used the "trick or treat" set for this saying also. how cute eh!

project 4
an altered tin can "bucket"

i wrapped paper around the can. you can glue this but i just use strong adhesive craft tape instead of messing with that mess and drying time. im too impatient :) plus my kitty olivia likes glue so we try to avoid using it as much as we can .
i used martha drippy goo punch at the top and  a cuttlebug die for the marquee behind the saying

i used the same die marquee die , just tore and bent it then adhered it after i added the saying which again is from the "trick or treat" set
i added a martha witch punch to one side

then a martha kitty to the other side. i punched a hole into both sides of the can with my crop~o~dile and added some covered wire and cording for the handle.
then filled it with shredded paper and candy.

project 5
an altered bag

i used the stamp mischief and mayhem from the "trick or treat" set
and made a "monster" out of yarn. you just take your yarn wrap it around 2 fingers between 100~200 times ( mine were done about 150 i think, with 2 kitties fighting me for the yarn i lost count somewhere ;) ) . anyway then you just cut the yarn while its still on fingers. be careful :) tie another piece of yarn or string in the middle to hold them all together then floof the yarn a bit. you can cut any strings that are a bit long. the more yarn you use the tighter or more pom pom look your critter will be. i like the scraggily dissheveled look myself. i took a piece of the "hair" and tied it to a paper clip to hang on the bag. you could add a magnet to the back if ya want to plop it on your fridge. i added googly eyes and a pompom for the nose.  this was really quick and simple. a fun project to do with kids.
sorry about the crappy pic on this one, my cam was giving me difficulties.

project 6 the last one i promise! ..did i drive ya totally bonkers ! ;)

an altered frankie bag
i saw this on pinterest, i just took a small light colored lunch bag, inked it up with some distress ink. i used circle punches for eyes and nose. for the hair i used marthas drippy goo punch. easy easy but oh so cute!

i used the brand spankin new "frankly frightful" set for these fun sentiments. for the frankly frightful i stamped in black then in a lighter green to get an embossed look. my lil spider is made by drawing some legs then adding a black pearl into the center. since taking the photo i realized i forgot to make a little web string for spidey to hang from so he has smooth landing into the candy treats ;)  i just drew a line from one of the letters down to his body.

thank you so much for stopping by my blog. i hope you enjoyed my post, i had a fun time making all these projects. thank you for your sweet comments too, they always make me smile! have a fun time creating! xxxshelly
