kikis crafts AND get sketchy #1
happy sunday :) this is for 2 challenges. the sketch from GS theyre brand new so be sure to give a lil welcome love over there. and as a bonus use patterned paper . the other part of the challenge is from kikiscrafts. shes giving away a sweet prize too...her theme being autumn my favorite time of year! i absolutely love autumn and along with christmas cards it's my favorite theme to create for. i love the rich warm colors and leaves. i grew up in the beautiful upper peninsula of michigan ( the part above the mitten...can you say im still a yooper girl eh.. if ya know what im saying god bless ya! ) anyway my point was we had such an abundance of gorgeous gorgeous maple and oak trees.. youd walk down the tree lined streets and just breathe in that scrumptious air... oh im talkin HEAVEN on earth! oh man i can still after all these years just close my eyes and smell that wonderful smell! and the magnificant colors! oh if you ever have a chance go there to visit you will not be disappointed in its beauty! i miss that so very much!
ok ok i know enough... about the card now..
for this i used memorybox bare oak(f1177)stamp..isnt it a beauty! im the worlds worst stamper..but i love the ease of these stamps.they take the ink perfectly and leave the perfect impression! theyve really made me enjoy using stamped images.
the sweet little owl is cut from the prepatterned paper from memory box. twiggy paper pack. any of you that pay attention to my ramblings KNOW memory box is my favorite brand of papers. theyre just so gorgeous! and cut so easily with my cricut. ..which i also used on this card along with my george( squares and circle) and stretch your imagination(leaves) cartridges. i added $bin amber rhinestones, and used colorbox fluid chalk in several colors to color the leaves. also for distressing some, in chestnut roan and dark brown. thanks so much for looking , now go have some fun at the formentioned blogs :) after leaving a comment here first though ;) hugs to ya'll for leaving comments on my blog i always appreciate them so much! shelly
